A medium body, Scottish style Brown Ale. Brewed with a subtle amount of Mt Hood hops. This is a very malt-forward beer.

Ok. This is one we took some liberties on. Firstly, most Scotch Ale is decidedly malt driven with very little hop note. Our version is much hoppier. We use Cascade to add delicate hop fragrance over the top of the beer and the middle palette. Secondly, we don't utilize a long boil to coax out rich melanoidin flavors or burnt caramel notes as many Scotch Ale producers do. Our Malt Bill includes a traditionally used malt - Golden Promise- and a few specialty malts to get us where we want to go. Think of it as a contemporary look at one of the most steadfast styles.

This addition to the dedication line-up offers something a little different. Amber red in color with a subtle smokiness & malty finish. Brewed with 2-row, Munich, black barley and smoked malt. This beer is something unique that we hope you will enjoy!

This dark brown ale is lighter than it looks. Our Scottish Ale is a medium bodied beer with a nice malty flavor and clean finish.

Scottish Ale, little brother to the “wee heavy”, is a soft, full bodied, malty ale, nicely balanced by subtle hopping. “Come lengthen your life-lease wi’ ye o’ Scottish ale.”

From beer novice to beer geek, everyone loves this beer! Amber in color, this is what Scottish Ales are supposed to taste like. The Scottish traditionally do not use a lot of hops in their beers. This is a caramel/malty beer with a slightly nutty, roasty component.

Reflecting the Scottish tradition of brewing beer with a small amount of hops so as to avoid unnecessary interaction with British traders (the bastards), our Scottish Ale is a rich, smooth, malt-focused beer that pours incredibly dark. Nutty Marris Otter malt provides deep hits of caramel, coffee, and chocolate in both the aroma and flavor. Like a drinkable kilt for your gullet.

Our take on a traditional Scottish Ale is brewed slightly stronger than normal. Medium body with a smooth mellow toffee sweetness, low bitterness and minimal hop aroma and flavor let our clean American malted barley shine. Scottish Ales get their sweetness not from crystal malt like many beers, but with large additions of 2-row malt and very small amounts of specialty malts.

St. Andrews day, November 30th, is the National Day of Scotland. St. Andrew is the Patron Saint of Scotland, and Scots celebrate this day around the world. The flag of Scotland is the Cross of St. Andrew, and this is widely displayed as a symbol of national identity, thus the crest accompanying the story behind this beer This caramelized, malt forward Scotch Ale is brewed in honor of St. Andrew and is a brave, collaborative effort of two brewers, Tonya Cornett of Bend Brewing Company & Curt Plants of GoodLife Brewing Company. Alexander Hamilton contributed to the forming of a nation – trusted aide to George Washington, founder of the Federal Reserve Bank, first Secretary of the Treasury. He rose to his influential roles from humble beginnings, born to a single mother on the Caribbean island of Nevis. A tribute to both the popular ale style of the time (porter) and his humble island beginnings (coconut), this beer’s name credits Hamilton’s wandering father. Warm and sweet aromas rise slowly from this hardworking porter with a deep tawny red color and a thin veil of off-white bubbles. Notes of coconut, vanilla, and sweet crystal malts present a complex flavor profile and hold your palate in check with a slight warming sensation. Coconut aromas linger through the finish and remain momentarily sticky on the tongue. Heavier in body and in ABV, this beer will hold up to the coldest winter days and give hints of warmer times where sand, rather than snow, dominates the landscape.

Rich and chocolaty, with hints of burnt toast, herbal hops and Sonoran campfire, our porter walks the line between complexity and accessibility. It is made from a blend of 6 malts (including Munich malt hand smoked over mesquite wood) and 3 hop varieties.
