West Coast IPA. Indian Pale Ales were traditionally high in hops to preserve them for their long sea voyage from England to India. Today self-proclaimed hopheads search out American-style IPA’s for their intense hop flavor, pale amber color and strong bitterness.

Uncork a bottle of Peach Windowpane and savor the fresh flavors of North Carolina. Second in a series of four North Carolina inspired beers, Peach Windowpane is a double American Wheat Ale fermented with vast quantities of this luscious North Carolina fruit, then aged in Chardonnay barrels for three months. Anticipate a prevailing aroma of fruit and chardonnay, blended with a subtle amount of oak. Also expect dominant fruit flavor joined by a slight oak character and sourness that keeps you wanting more.

Evan Kleiman, host of KCRW's Good Food, was inspired to collaborate with Patrick Rue and The Bruery after enjoying a homemade Rhubarb Raspberry Pie. The rhubarb's fruity sourness tempered with the sweetness of the fresh raspberries and the wheat crust, begged to be bottled up in the form of a bubbly beer. Keeping the original pie recipe in mind, specialty grains were chosen to mimic the crust, and rhubarb and raspberries were used in varying stages of the brewing and fermentation process. The resulting beer is reminiscent of a fresh country pie, cooling on a farmhouse windowsill.

Brewed with pilsner malt, torrefied wheat, Tahoma, and Saaz hops. Light and refreshing. Pairs well with salad, cheese, and seafood.

Released in June. A true German Hefe-weizen. A refreshing beer, 55% wheat malt, a blend of German hops and imported German ale yeast. Fruity banana overtones with a high effervescence and cloudy in the traditional Hefe-weizen style.

Wine Barrel Noir is our imperial oatmeal stout aged in freshly dumped red wine barrels. Coffee and chocolate notes in the beer are complimented by tart berry flavors and oak we derive from the wine barrels.

The second installment: This Red Hook Winery wild yeast culture came from a cask of Chardonnay from Mattebella Vineyards of Long Island.

This light colored ale gains its subtle, bread-like flavor from a balance of gently kilned malted barley and choice malted wheat. A restrained addition of hops, contributes a pleasingly delicate floral aroma.

An aggressively hopped and dangerously drinkable Imperial IPA. Liberal amounts of Chinook and Simcoe hops are the basis for a sticky, dank, piney, and resinous hop-bomb. A solid malt backbone and the addition of 120 pounds of raw Clover Honey rounds out the high hop intensity, bringing balance and a touch of sweetness.

Traditional English-style barleywine that has a smoky malt sweetness with a bourbon-like quality. Full-bodied with balanced bitterness and a warm finish.

A full-bodied porter with subtle vanilla flavors and aromas, with a subtle roasted, dark chocolate finish.

Rich in body, strong in character, delicately sweet dark amber ale distinguished by fresh ginger and cinnamon sticks.

ur second “Farm to Bottle” offering is a beer brewed in the classic Belgian Wit style. Also called a “white” beer, these wheat ales are very food friendly, balancing a rich velvety mouthfeel with an earthy Belgian-yeast character. Ours is brewed with 600 pounds of juicy winter oranges from Hamada Farm in Kingsburg, California. Working with Cliff Hamada, the third generation owner-operator of the farm, we put together a blend of early season blood oranges, tart pink-fleshed cara cara oranges and sweet aromatic navel oranges. Finally the beer is finished with a touch of fresh ginger root – from Morgan Hill’s Mellow Nursery – for a hint of tangy spice. Our Winter Wit was designed from the ground up to be food friendly, balancing an earthy wit-yeast character with fruity acidity and orange zest to create a refreshing yet warming sipper that pairs perfectly with our mild California winters.
