“Shaun Hill – magician, eccentric, wizard and one of the modern craft beer world’s most unique personalities. In every way a person as far away as imaginable from typical Amager frat boy mentality. But in spite of this – or perhaps because of this – Shaun became a good friend of Amager Bryghus when he himself worked as a brewer at Norrebro Bryghus, Copenhagen a few years ago. And quite a few beers came to the light of day in the vaults of Amager Bryghus as a result of this fruitful collaborative friendship. So when we visited New England in the summer of 2013 it was only natural to pop by Shaun’s farmhouse brewery – Hill Farmstead – absolutely in the middle of nowhere. Shaun gave us a hard time for finishing a couple of kegs of some rare saison during a late night drinking session, but all of that was forgotten the next morning, when we brewed “Shadow Pictures of a Journey” (a name inspired by H.C. Andersen’s writings) – a clean almost insultingly quaffable Double IPA loaded with crisp aroma hops. “Shadow Pictures – Skyggebilleder” is our very own interpretaion of the beer we brewed with Shaun on one beautiful summer’s day in Vermont.”

A heavy, sweet imperial stout with cinnamon sticks and vanilla beans

Napoleon referred to Berliner Weisse as the champagne of Germany. We sour our version in the kettle then finish it off crisp and clean with the essence of tart peaches and lemon.

Sour ale with lactose conditioned on strawberries, lime, and vanilla.

Golden beer brewed with 25% of Charnonnay and Sauvignon Blanc grape must added during boling. The grapes comes from Termino Monte in Sesma. The beer is fermented with two different yeast (non-saccharomyces to start the fermentation and saccharomyces to finish the fermentation), the first one provides the beer a fine and smart aroma, and provides the beer a full body.

A bright, intensely aromatic IPA brewed with wheat + oats & exclusively hopped with Mosaic. Grassy & floral, with deep notes of lemon, peach, melon & mango.

The city and province of Utrecht has got a great history (and future) of brewing beer. It deserves a beer that shows our appreciation and what more could we do than make this Utrecht Strong Ale. Big hops dominate the aroma and big malts support them in taste. Put your hands up for Utrecht, we love that city!

Loosely based on a previous Smokestack Series Limited Release, Whiskey Barrel Stout's malt base is composed of two-row pale malt, Amber 50, Cara 120, Cara 300, Mout Roost 900, Patagonia Black Pearl, chocolate rye, crystal rye, malted wheat, flaked oats and chocolate malt. Additional fermentables include dextrose, dark brown sugar and dark malt extract. To balance this chewy, complex malt presence, Whiskey Barrel Stout is hopped with Magnum and Columbus hops to provide just enough bitterness to prevent the beer from presenting as cloyingly sweet. Following fermentation with our house Scottish yeast strain that contributes notes of dates and plum, Whiskey Barrel Stout is transferred to freshly emptied whiskey barrels from a variety of our favorite distillers. As the maturation process occurs, our barrel crew selects the best barrels from different vintages to be blended together with roughly one-third fresh beer to create a delicate interplay between fresh and barrel-aged beer. This blend back allows us to create a balanced beer that showcases the very best barrel flavors coaxed into Whiskey Barrel Stout while tempering the whiskey character to create a beer that is only slightly boozy and ready to drink upon release.

Norwegian ale with cranberries and currants added. The Haand brewers - four guys making beer in their spare time, on an absurdly small scale - specialize in recreating old Norwegian farm beers. Here’s one made with a variety of different grains, and some typical fruits from the region, handpicked by the brewers. It is fermented by airborne wild yeast, unfiltered, and unpasteurized. Wild Thing, you make everything...groovy.

Wild Weizen Ale aged in Sweet Reisling Barrels

Our 2 Year Anniversary Double India Pale Ale was brewed on Cotton Candy Sugar and conditioned on hundreds of pounds of Cotton Candy Grape Juice. The result is a tropical cotton candy cone. Happy Birthday to ASLIN!!!!

For this release we decided to have some fun and present something new. A lot of folks have been asking for a coffee version of BAOMJ. We are listening. This release will include our first variant of BAOMJ with Vietnamese Cinnamon and local coffee. This is the same blend we use in Creature of Habit. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
