Wilhelm Scream is ripe with fall flavors of pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg and caramel malts. Medium-bodied and the color of orange setting suns, it finishes similar to the way we finish summer: with just a hint of bitterness.

Wine Barrel Noir is our imperial oatmeal stout aged in freshly dumped red wine barrels. Coffee and chocolate notes in the beer are complimented by tart berry flavors and oak we derive from the wine barrels.

In this second rendition of Wineification the Rues and Parkers continue to vanquish the boundaries between wine and beer; combining their brains and brawn on a blend of juicy Rodney’s Vineyard Petite Sirah grapes with The Bruery’s imperial stout, then aging this wine/beer hybrid in French Oak barrels. The flavor profile is remarkable. Notes of black cherry, vanilla, cinnamon, oak, aged balsamic, port wine and a sherry-like oxidation from the barrels. This beer is like nothing that you have ever tried before...besides maybe Wineification I.

The hops rise up for an equally forceful chest bump due to the deep fisted use of Mosaic, Amarillo and Chinook.

Witicus Double Rye Wit aged in retired wine barrels and the natural flora from the Texas vineyards. The combination of tart acidity, citrus and chamomile culminates in a blend of tropic fruit notes, pineapple and hints of vanilla. That devilish laughter you hear as you enjoy this tart delicacy is your conscious, taunting the part of you that wasn’t sure if it was time to crack this bottle open. Sadly, Woodicus and his more restrained brother Witicus only come around once a year… so we hope this wasn’t your last bottle. Who gets the last laugh now? Ingredients: pils malt, malted rye and raw wheat; subtle hops; top-fermenting yeast; wild yeast & bacteria; natural, limestone-filtered, Edwards Aquifer H2O; double dose of funk music

Wrath of Pecant is a collaboration between Dogfish and the Alstrom Brothers of Beer Advocate celebrating the 2010 Extreme Beer Fest. We worked with them to come up with the concept for the beer. Once we had the beer idea, we let Beer Advocate members vote to name it - the winning name came from BA member 'strangefate.' So in the end... Wrath of Pecant became a 6% abv brownish ale brewed with pecan-wood smoked malt, plantains, and carob. It is complex yet quaffable; maltiness nuttiness and subtle earthy notes prevail. The beer was first tapped at the 2010 Extreme Beer Fest in Boston in February. The bottles (750ml) were released from the Milton brewery for The Weekend Of Compelling Ales & Whatnot in March of 2010. They are now available for sale from the brewery (and very soon at the brewpub!) and should be around into the summer. There are no plans to distribute this beer outside the state of Delaware. Deep in the labs at Toppling Goliath, through the vaulted door, down the steps, and past the room labeled “Beware the Leopard” lies a series of experiments long forgotten. The Xhops series - a biological hybrid of many experimental hops. Each color a unique flavor of pale ale. Released throughout 2013 and 2014, this beer begs to make a return, but can you handle it?

Tampa is a long way from our home base in Chico, but the guys down yonder in Florida sure can brew a great beer. Our friends at Cigar City find inspiration in the Cuban roots of their hometown, and that Latin-inspired flair is evident in Yonder Bock. This tropical take on the Maibock adds a Latin island flair to this traditional German style beer. Enamored with the Latin roots of their Tampa home, Cigar City always tries to channel a bit of local history into their beers, e.g. the Humidor Series whose beers age on Spanish cedar as an homage to Tampa’s cigar making roots. Only five years old, this brewery deserves the fast praise that’s come its way.

As longtime friends, Russian River brewmaster Vinnie Cilurzo and our own Brian Grossman are no strangers to brewing experiments. While looking for inspiration for this collaboration, Vinnie and Brian decided to honor the creations of legendary Belgian brewer Yvan De Baets with their own hop-forward American-Belgian mash-up. From complex Belgian-inspired styles to American wild ales and hoppy Double IPA’s, Russian River always pushes boundaries while respecting technique and quality. Co-owners Vinnie and Natalie Cilurzo are longtime friends of Sierra Nevada and they always have a six-pack of Pale Ale in their fridge at home.

Brewed to be highly enjoyable and drinkable, it contains 100% German malts, German hops, and German yeast! Deep golden color with a clean finish and some lager character to it! Prosit! 24 IBU
