Aged in Indiana's W.H. Harrison Bourbon barrels for a full year, this cider is also sweetened with local Indiana sorghum. A beautiful deep amber coloring, and a light bouquet give way to a surprising depth of flavor. The bourbon notes compliment the sweetness of the original Johnny Chapman cider quite well

Barrel Aged Kentucky Common is a modern interpretation of an ale style native to pre-prohibition Louisville. Historically the beer was dark in color, creamy, and tart as a result of the introduction of lactobacillus bacteria by sour mashing. Local Option Bierkwerker took up the task of brewing this once familiar style – electing to use specialty grains rather than a large percentage of corn – yielding an adventurous taste profile befitting both conventional and courageous palates.

Barrel Aged Mexican Achromatic is an Imperial Stout inspired by Mexican hot cocoa, a drink that traces its roots back to the Mayans, Aztecs and Spanish in Mexico. Brewed with obscene amounts of roasted cacao nibs, cinnamon sticks, and vanilla beans and aged in Breckenridge Distillery bourbon barrels, Barrel Aged Mexican Achromatic is a rich, decadent beer that evokes the innovative spirit of brewing while paying homage to its Mexican heritage.

This imperial red ale has a huge malt presence only to be out shined by its hop additions. Dark mahogany red with a nice fluffy head, Fire Ant showcases roasted and toasted caramel notes layered between spicy, herbal and fruity hops.

We took our White IPA with orange zest, Mr. Watson - Come Here - I Want To See You & aged him in French Sauvignon Blanc Barrels & then dry hopped him with Hallertau Blanc prior to packaging.

An incredibly satisfying flavor combination from Bourbon barrel aging of sweet malt flavors and a rich dark fruit character. Fermented with both British and Belgian style yeasts to crate a lightly-spicy twist on this Belgian-style barleywine-style ale.

Barrel-Aged Narwhal is our deliciously dark Imperial Stout aged in Kentucky bourbon barrels. Barrel aging is a strange science; it mellows some characteristics of the original beer while intensifying others. Narwhal’s aggressive roastiness has calmed, but the rich, chocolate-like malt backbone is brought to the fore. Black as midnight, this intense stout is complex with notes of cocoa and espresso balanced with hints of vanilla and toasted coconut from the oak casks. Nearly as rare as it’s nautical namesake, try Barrel-Aged Narwhal while you can because like the creature itself, it will soon dive into the depths and leave nary a trace behind.

Every year we age a special batch of our much-loved Russian Imperial Stout in Bourbon barrels. The depth, intensity, and complexity of the flavor profile of this special release, like its predecessors, make it a worthy tribute to Old Rasputin. Prior to 2010, Barrel-Aged Old Rasputin was released in such limited quantities that it was available only at the North Coast Brewing retail shop in Fort Bragg, California. However, we received so many requests for this beer that we began producing enough Barrel-Aged Old Rasputin to put into broader, but still limited, distribution.
