Blowing Rock Bock is fermented with a proprietary lager yeast strain and aged for 5 weeks. Typical of the traditional German Bock style, its light copper tone is characterized by a toasty malt backbone derived from a combination of domestic 2 row malt and imported German specialty malts. The kettle hopping is derived from German Hallertau to impart a well balanced bitterness with only subtle hop aroma. The hardy body and strong malt exhibited by Blowing Rock Bock provide an integrated harmony of flavors making it a complex beer with easy drinkability.

Blowing Rock Summer Ale is brewed in style of a Belgian White, or Witbier.Typical of the style, the product is fermented with a Belgian "wit" yeast strain. This hazy ale is characterized by a grain bill of pale malts andwhite wheat. The kettle hopping is signature Czech Saaz, and late kettle additions of orange peel and coriander spice further accentuate this highly enjoyable summer ale.

This is an unlikely take on a German sour wheat beer. It uses smoked sea salt, lemongrass, and tomatillo juice to create a savory, sour, and citrusy beer all in one.

The Ale version of a typical American Lager. This light and delicious brew is made with Premium 2 row malt, corn grits, and just a smidge of rice, gently hopped to give it that smooth creaminess. Finishes mildly sweet and very refreshing.

Named after planet Earth, the only blue planet in this universe, and brewed in honor of Earth Day, with organic Pilsner malt, rye malt and a combo of intense hops. Pours a cloudy (unfiltered) golden, orangey, straw color, topped with a thin creamy white lace with minimal stick. Somewhat pungent in the nose with tons of herbal, floral, citrus grapefruit, raw honey and fresh mint. Fairly full-bodied, thick-ish, smooth, even and creamy. Then the hops come to play with a raw leafy coarseness and big smack of grapefruit, ripe pineapple, salt, rinds, hint of soapiness (not a bad thing), and some sticky resins on the palate. This is all backed by a malt sweetness, touch of honey, and a spicy character unique to the addition of rye. There's some spice and warmth from the alcohol too. Dry and biscuity toward the finish. Tropical fruit esters on the breath.

Apple Blueberry Cider. When creating products from Michigan fruits it seems natural to include Michigan blueberries. They add a nice fruity flavor to the cider. Like our other hard ciders, this one is not too sweet or overpowering. This product should be served cold in a pint glass.

Our heritage beer, Blue Heron, was first brewed in 1987 as a special release for the Audubon Society, and named after Portland’s official city bird. The taste reflects its Northwest roots, drawing on indigenous ingredients from the hop fields of the Willamette Valley and the barley fields of the high Northwest desert. This pale ale is round and soft on the palate, finishes crisply.

Blue Honey Melomel is a semi-sweet melomel mead that is crafted with 100% raw Ohio wildflower honey, farm raised Great Lakes blueberries, water, and yeast. This blueberry melomel is then aged on French oak staves for 3 months to provide added depth and complexity. Make sure to store away an extra bottle for later because this mead ages wonderfully.

A 'Blue Label' traditionally denotes a well hopped beer. An award winning ale in its own right, this beer is derived from our Sussex Best Bitter. Tasting notes: A blend of four different 'aroma' hop varieties imparts a delicate bitterness which is balanced by the residual sweetness of malt sugars.

This is a medium-bodied porter to which we added blackberry puree at the end of primary fermentation and finished it with spruce tip extract harvested from Blue Spruce trees found on the grounds of Utah's State Capitol building. It has a roasting profile with a fruity tartness and an aftertaste of resinous spruce.
