Blossom

Our Cyser (mead made from apples and honey) is made from Sunnycrest Apple cider of Londonderry NH, the fresh pressed apples add a tart start with semi-sweet finish. Such a light, refreshing taste it can accompany any dish that is rich in flavor or just enjoyed as a festive or aperitif wine, pairs well with cheese plates, poultry or just on its own. This recipe has won awards over the last 15 years, and most recently a Bronze at the 2013 Silver Medal winner at the 2013 Mazer Cup International competition.

Blowing Rock Bock

Blowing Rock Bock is fermented with a proprietary lager yeast strain and aged for 5 weeks. Typical of the traditional German Bock style, its light copper tone is characterized by a toasty malt backbone derived from a combination of domestic 2 row malt and imported German specialty malts. The kettle hopping is derived from German Hallertau to impart a well balanced bitterness with only subtle hop aroma. The hardy body and strong malt exhibited by Blowing Rock Bock provide an integrated harmony of flavors making it a complex beer with easy drinkability.

Blowing Rock Summer Ale is brewed in style of a Belgian White, or Witbier.Typical of the style, the product is fermented with a Belgian "wit" yeast strain. The kettle hopping is signature Czech Saaz, and late kettle additions of orange peel and coriander spice further accentuate this highly enjoyable summer ale.

Blowing Rock Winter Ale

This Ale could be compared to an Imperial/Double Red. It is fermented with a proprietary ale yeast strain that provides a moderate fruity-ester aroma and slight flavor. This deep, copper toned ale is characterized by its balanced hop bitterness and spicy noble hop flavors. The kettle hopping is derived from German Hersbrucker & American Cascade. The spicy overtones are complemented by a generous portion of whole-leaf hops added to the fermenter and American Cascade hops added to the aging tank. The medium body and smooth yet crisp caramel flavors are created by a domestic malt bill of 2-Row, Caramel, Chocolate, and other specialty malts.

Bludgeon Yer Eye

This India Black Ale is a shining example of stylistic guidelines. Intense fruity and floral aromas abound with a subtle malty fragrance reluctantly piercing through. A deep black color attunes the pallet for rich, dark, roasted malt flavors. The unexpected twist comes when high hop bitterness takes over and resonates profoundly.

Blue Dog

The namesake of this delicious beer, Blue Dog Porter, is our favorite bar-back here at Round Town Brewery. He works hard to patrol the grounds and make sure you’ve always got a smile on your face. Porter refuses to accept tips, but if you occasionally give him a scratch behind the ears or a pat on the belly, he’s going to love you as much as we love him! The beer itself is a classic example of an English porter. On the nose it comes across as a large brown ale, with hints of dark Swiss chocolate. Once you take a sip the beer explodes with flavors of a dry, bready, dark chocolate. Try one at your favorite watering hole, or stop in to enjoy a pint while Porter keeps you entertained!

Blue Dot Double India Pale Ale

Named after planet Earth, the only blue planet in this universe, and brewed in honor of Earth Day, with organic Pilsner malt, rye malt and a combo of intense hops. Pours a cloudy (unfiltered) golden, orangey, straw color, topped with a thin creamy white lace with minimal stick. Somewhat pungent in the nose with tons of herbal, floral, citrus grapefruit, raw honey and fresh mint. Fairly full-bodied, thick-ish, smooth, even and creamy. Then the hops come to play with a raw leafy coarseness and big smack of grapefruit, ripe pineapple, salt, rinds, hint of soapiness (not a bad thing), and some sticky resins on the palate. This is all backed by a malt sweetness, touch of honey, and a spicy character unique to the addition of rye. There's some spice and warmth from the alcohol too. Dry and biscuity toward the finish. Tropical fruit esters on the breath.

Blue Heron Pale Ale

Our heritage beer, Blue Heron, was first brewed in 1987 as a special release for the Audubon Society, and named after Portland’s official city bird. The taste reflects its Northwest roots, drawing on indigenous ingredients from the hop fields of the Willamette Valley and the barley fields of the high Northwest desert. This pale ale is round and soft on the palate, finishes crisply.

Blue Lady

The Blue Lady is a very sour girl, sure to bring a pucker to your lips. She starts with a traditional sour mash to bring out her tart side. After fermentation we introduce her to one hundred and fifty pounds of fresh blueberries from our friends at Seedling Farm. The result is a beautifully colored sour ale with a layer of blueberry flavor.
