Bourbon barrel aged version of the Raj IPA. Limited release.

A big bodied beer with a light coppery orange color and pleasing aroma of pumpkin and nutmeg. Pale Ale, Wheat and Light Munich malts combine with the natural tannin in pumpkin and the delicate spiciness of Saphir and Hallertau Hops to balance the sweetness of the fruit. To fully experience all the flavors, this beer is best enjoyed at 55 degrees Fahrenheit.

Belgian Imperial Stout aged in bourbon barrels.

Our Old River Stout is aged in 7 year old Jack Daniels oak barrels. This unique beer combines vanilla, oak, and whiskey flavors with delicious roasted malts typically found in our stouts. Aged for 2 months, this beer is both complex, but extremely drinkable, while marrying the best of both worlds.

Three Philosophers is a unique blend of a Belgian-style dark ale and Liefmans Kriek, an authentic cherry ale from Belgium. Cherry chestnut in color, it's opaque but not cloudy with full carbonation topped by a smooth, tan head. Flavors and aromas of roasted malt, molasses and brown sugar, dark fruits, brandied raisins and chocolate, Three Philosophers has notable sweetness with low hop bitterness. The mid-palate shows a soft malt center which gives way to a dry, warm, wine-like finish. The complexity of this beer make it a good candidate for ageing gracefully, as spicy sherry and port notes should intensify.

George Washington's Tavern Porter w/vanilla- Detailed in a letter from the General to his officers during the war, Washington’s recipe employed molasses to aid fermentation and give rich caramel notes to this robust, roasty ale. The recipe reflected his admiration for Philadelphia-style porters, especially those brewed by Robert Hare (whose original brewery stood just blocks from where ours is now). Our Tavern Porter, inspired by Washington’s, is dark, smooth, and complex with just a hint of dried fruit in the finish. We have added some vanilla beans to incorporate a smooth, silky vanilla flavor and let the rich, roasty flavor shine. ABV 7%

We take recently-emptied bourbon barrels and refill them with our Winter Warmer English-Style Dark Ale. We then barrel age this majestic ale for 12 weeks. The result is balanced, ambitious blend of dark malts and English hops.

Goodwood Bourbon Barrel Ale is refined by its time in the cask, not defined by it. The process produces balanced, adjunct-free ale with delicious bourbon notes. This copper-toned beaut is medium-bodied and malt-forward with a hint of sweet caramel. It finishes strong and dry with notes of vanilla and bourbon-soaked oak.

Thick and black as motor oil, this style has a more pronounced hop presence than its cousin, the Russian Imperial Stout. Herbal hop notes lightly cut through aromas of luscious black currants, brown sugar, and rich, dark chocolate. Big and bold on the palate, the roasty, chewy flavors are nuanced with a slight fruitiness and just the right amount of bitterness, both from the roasted malt and the hops. Several months aging in spent Bourbon barrels imparts toasty vanilla and coconut notes, while allowing the beer to mellow out into a smooth fireside sipper.

Aged for a year in bourbon barrels in basement of Jackie O’s. A huge malt bill give this fall seasonal beer its unique canvas. Sixty pounds of hand picked pumpkin from Jackie O’s Farm are roasted in the pizza oven at our pub before the pumpkin flesh (no skin!) is added to the mash, melding with the already complex grist. American hop varieties provide a formidable bitterness and some great flavor and aroma. At the end of the boil, the wort is spiced with ginger, coriander, cinnamon, all spice, nutmeg, and more brown sugar.

When most folks think of Barley Wine, beers like Thomas Hardy or Sierra’s Bigfoot come to mind. Sure we drew off some of those guys for inspiration but mostly we brewed this beer to numb the sting of a Wisconsin Winter. BREWMASTER NOTES Perfect balance of english and american style barleywine. The large american hop bill circles around to smack down the big malty mouthfeel of this beer. Pleasant bourbon character adds to an already complex brew.

English Style Barleywine Aged in a Woodford Reserve Barrel. It is big, strong, and full of flavor. This beer is ruby brown in color and is dominated by its aggressive bourbon flavors, with large vanilla and oak notes. Sweet malt backbone of fig, raisin, and sherry. Low hop profile lets the malt and barrel sing.

After a long aging process we are proud to release one of our favorite beers. Big Bad Barleywine is a strong ale with Luscious sweet malt flavor backed by a enormous dose of hops creating a complex beer with hints of ripe fruit (cherries, green apples) and a piney/citrus aroma.

Our Belgian Style Stout, Black, aged for one year in bourbon barrels. The toffee,chocolate and coconut nose is followed by a smooth bitter chocolate and bourbon flavor. The finish is dry, roasted and warming. First released May 2010. Draft only.
