Bough Breaker

When the bough breaks the cradle will fall. A dark ruby amber color with a big tan head. BB features a gargantuan amount of Amarillo hops. aroma is flowery, spicy, and has a distinct orange bouquet. at first taste the intense hop characteristic is all encompassing only to be muted by a caramel candy-like malt finish. “We’ve worked hard to get to where we are and as we continue to grow we’re able to brew and bottle more and more unique and original beers, Bough Breaker being the next of this series,” imparts brewery owner, Bob Baile. Bough Breaker pours a deep, rich red color with aromas of citrus hops, dark fruit and light toffee. While delectable to drink the day it’s bottled, Bough Breaker will only become more enchanting with aging and cellaring. “We’ve come a long way since 1995,” reminisces Bob, “But we will always follow the practices of community support and involvement this company was founded on. After all, it is our values, culture, staff and ingenuity in brewing that has brought us here today and will sustain us in the future. On our sweet 16, I raise a glass to these tenets and say, ‘what else can I ask for?” Hops: Amarillo, Amarillo Amarillo

Strong Porter with Coconut and Vanilla. AKA “The Cocopo”: This strong porter received a healthy dose of raw coconut and vanilla during fermentation. The result is a maelstrom of bitter chocolate, dark malt flavours, with a subtle coconut/vanilla underbelly. We can hear you muttering “you had me at maelstrom…” already.

Bounty of the Bine Fresh Hop Ale

This pale ale utilizes fresh-picked Cascade and Nugget hop cones that were harvested in Paonia, Colorado about 40 hours before they were added to the brew kettle. From the first waft you’ll notice the earthy underpinnings that remind us of some hard work spent cultivating this beautiful crop. The name for the beer recognizes the harvest from our favorite plant: botanists among us will remind us that hops are considered bines, not vines, because they grow by sending shoots wrapping up around supports, rather than climbing through tendrils or suckers (as a vine does). However they grow, we’re sure happy they thrive in Colorado and around the world.

I know, I know, holy Tom Jones, Batman! You can leave your hat on while quaffing this delectably smooth lager. Bourbon Aged Stout

We have just released Bourbon Stout (referred to as Bourbon Aged Stout in the US). This Innis & Gunn Red Stout has been brewed using rye crystal malt to give it its deep mahogany colour. The Whitbread Golding hops complement the sweet biscuity malt with a soft hop bitterness. We then matured this new brew for days over Bourbon-infused oak which gives it its mellow vanilla flavour and a nice warming Bourbon kick. Red stouts are unusual these days but are produced in a similar way to darker stouts, only the malts are roasted more lightly which gives the final brew a lighter, fruitier character and of course a signature red colour.

Bourbon Barrel 4 Calling Birds

4 Calling Birds was our 2011 winter ale - a spiced strong dark ale. We took inspiration from the traditional winter warmer for our fourth verse, integrating gingerbread spices into a robust dark ale. Notes of licorice & banana bread mingle with dark fruit, molasses and bitter chocolate for a perfect cold weather sipper! This is the Bourbon Barrel Aged version of last years holiday seasonal! Spending a year in rich oak barrels, the beer has picked up incredibly deep and luxurious notes from the oak and bourbon, but has maintained it’s original charm.

Bourbon Barrel 4D

Reserve Series Our version of a classic English Olde Ale takes the style to new depths of flavor intensity. After several months conditioning, 4D is transferred into Bourbon barrels for several more months before being released. This ale has an intense, sweet caramel malt flavor and aroma that quickly develops into notes of toffee and toasted marshmallows. The barrel aging adds a slight whiskey character, complemented by subtle notes of vanilla sweetness. As this beer ages, alcohol flavors will fade away and round out, bringing out a mild sherry note with a long, lingering finish.

Bourbon Barrel Aged Arrogant Bastard

I didn't give you permission to pick me up, let alone drink me. Being groped as you mutter to yourself taxes my patience. While I am a master of social complexities and articulate thought, clearly you are not. I embody the pinnacle of intellectual and artistic fulfillment, while you bring the baggage of preconceived notions, which only distract. Yet, I'll give you one chance: Aspire to free your mind. Use a crowbar if you must. Approach me with openness, unsullied by your irrelevant "life experience," or leave me alone. No, you don't have to put up with this. Go tweet your precious insights about me. Thrill yourself by imagining your three or 30,000 followers hanging on your every word. OMG, they're waiting to read the thought you just had. Now close your mouth and either set me down or do your worst. What's that? You're going to drink a fizzy yellow beer out of spite? Self-flagellate all you like, tiger. Proclaim your unworthiness to whoever will listen.

Bourbon Barrel Aged Batch 9000 Ale

Aged in bourbon barrels for 8 months, Bourbon Barrel Aged Batch 9000 Ale takes the sweet caramel, molasses, and dried fruit aromas of its predecessor and layers on oak, vanilla, and bourbon notes. The barrel contribution is definitely present but doesn’t try to overwhelm the underlying beer. The goal is to showcase the beer, not the bourbon, with the result being an exceptionally smooth beer with complexity & depth that defies easy classification as an imperial stout or barleywine or otherwise.
