Our I.P.A. pours an amber gold with a distinctively rich flavor, significant hop aroma and soft, white and creamy head. We blend two-row pale, caramel and Carapils malts with the finest quality, Chinook, Cascade, Summit, Fuggle and Crystal hops to brew our complex and very tasty version of India Pale Ale. For our IPA, we used the traditional West Coast India Pale Ale as our template, then forgot where we put the template, then created something completely different. It’s a simple, easily enjoyable IPA with a crisp bouquet of lemon citrus, grapefruit rind, and melon. Tangerine and passion fruit dominate the hop flavor, but without the usual overwhelming bitterness.

Tap Room No. 21 India Pale Ale is an easy drinking craft beer, boasting a spicy hop character. This Pale Ale is blended with smooth malt flavor for a balanced finish. Pale, Crystal and Caramel malts give this beer a rich flavor profile, while the combination of four different hops - CTZ, Chinook, Williamette and Golding - offer a spicy, distinctive aroma and long hoppy finish.

Robust, brash, brilliant: Our I.P.A. is balanced, self-determined and sure. Featuring a distinct malt presence, notes of peach, passion fruit, pine, and citrus alongside a unique blend of hops from the Pacific Northwest, our I.P.A. offers a crisp, clean finish. Satisfyingly strong, but surprisingly smooth, I.P.A. pairs perfectly with a chicken korma or madras curry.

Strong, dry IPA. Light/pale in color. Minimal malt sweetness. Lots of tropical/citrusy and piney flavors from the American hops present in both kettle and fermenter.

This classic American I.P.A. is deep golden in color, and features true English hop characters, flavor and bitterness as a nod to its historic origins. Medium-bodied, with a slight malt character that complements the fruity esters, this ale finishes with a huge grapefruit nose and an intense cascade hop flavor in the traditional American style.

Although the IPA style wasn't an American invention we certainly have made it our own. Historically, hops were used primarily for their preservative characteristics to keep the beer palatable on long journeys. Many examples of American IPAs tend to be hop “bombs” that will make you pucker up with that “bitter beer face”. We brew our IPA with just the right amount of bittering hops, but we make sure to focus on the more delicate qualities of humulus lupulus. That's why we load it up with late addition hops that inundate the senses with piney, citrusy and floral contributions. Not that there's anything wrong with hop “bombs”. Quite the contrary in fact...that's why we brew a Double IPA.

Vad en India Pale Ale egentligen är idag är lika konfunderande som att få klarhet i vad fotbollens diamantformation egentligen betyder. Denna IPA finns dock i vårat ordinarie sortiment året runt.

A standby in teas and juices, hibiscus flowers provide Scratch #250 with its lovely pinkish hue and vibrant floral aroma. A mix of spicy, fruity hops gives this IPA a berry-like tanginess with underlying tropical notes.

The IPA weighs in at a hefty 7.0% ABV and is not intended for the light of heart. Again, it is styled in the English IPA category, giving it a slightly less hoppy taste and nose than a typical “California IPA” . Very balanced, but still presents the lip-puckering hoppiness you would come to expect from an IPA.

Originally brewed in England for the British troops stationed in India during the 18th century, increased amounts of hops and higher alcohol content (both natural preservatives) were needed for the beer to survive the long sea voyage. Medium body with high hop bitterness, flavour and aroma keep this beer true to its original style.

2013, 13 hops. Our first brew of the year bursts with everything that is wonderful about hops: citrus notes, tropical fruits, berries, earthiness and a hint of spice creating a parade of delightful flavours and aromas. It is our celebration of hops.
