Lukcy Basartd Ale was first released in November 2010 in celebration of the (lucky) 13th anniversary of Arrogant Bastard Ale. This powerfully complex beer is an amalgamation of three Bastards—Arrogant Bastard Ale, Double Bastard Ale and OAKED Arrogant Bastard Ale—unceremoniously thrown together and then dry-hopped to excess, providing a fittingly immoderate blast of malty, hoppy flavor. Those Worthy souls who possess the nerve to try it will be rewarded with a delicious assault on their taste buds.

Did someone say there is a hop shortage? This beer might be to blame! Lucky Day has a firm upfront bitterness, a soft mid-palate, and a resinous lingering bitterness that is sure to appease any hop lover. This beer has an intoxicating aroma of tropical fruit, citrus and pungent hops.

A fruit forward blonde ale, the Lucky Lucy Strawberry Blonde is light, fruity, and refreshing. It is brewed with local Florida strawberries and has a nice strawberry jam aroma and flavor while still being refreshing and drinkable.

Brewer’s comment: We were looking to create an easy drinking pale ale with notes of honey and citrus fruit that will go down with ease. This will be your session ale for all occasions, partnering well with fish and white meat. Brewed to 4% ABV with Nottingham yeast to make a light, refreshing beverage, fermentation takes an average of 4-5 days. The beer is then cooled to 5 degrees Celsius when yeast became inactive and drops to the bottom of Fermentation vessel. After a further 2 days of maturing and clearing, the final beer is racked to casks or sent for bottling.

For this beer, we start with a barley and wheat malt base Belgian Ardenne yeast for a smooth, slightly fruity Belgian flavor and then add lots of hops for a nice finish.

Lucky Straw truly embodies Fullsteam's plow-to-pint ethos. Our locally cultivated yeast yields lovely aromas of orange blossom, ripe melon, and floral honey, while local wheat complements these flowery aromas with layers of bread and spice. A generous dry hop addition provides a lingering citrus punch. A true "post-tobacco" farmhouse ale.
