Our first new year-round beer since 1996, Lunar Ale is in a category all its own. Brewed using a unique aromatic yeast, this refreshing variety is best described as a cloudy brown ale with a complex, malty aroma and flavor, and a crisp, dry finish.

A foreign Extra stout style Stout. Malt-forward and Rich, with dark chocolate notes, a hint of coffee, and subtle fruit flavors from the English yeast strain.

Lunatic…go ahead howl at the moon…after tasting this delicious beer, you may have no choice in the matter. We brew Hinterland Lunatic to draw out that instinctual yearning to go against the grain, to take a chance, and to experience something totally whacked. Lunatic defines what getting crazy in the brewhouse is all about. This beer blends together copius amounts of Flaked Oats, 2 row, Vienna, Chocolate and Roasted Barley malts along with Columbus hops in order to create the ultimate Imperial Stout.

Lunatic Lemonade starts with fresh Meyer lemons, only organic ingredients from our special recipe, we add pure cane sugar, specialty malt alcohol, and our natural artesian spring water. The result is a zesty, smooth, HARD lemonade 10% ABV.

This super light pale ale will leave you speechless and asking yourself, how did we get all that flavor in such a light beer. Well don’t worry about that and just enjoy this little piece of pale ale heaven. Extremely light and fruity, everything you could want in a session ale. Perfect for tailgating, picnics, BBQs, or after finishing up a little yard work on a hot summer day. An ice-cold Lunch-Pale ale is my go-to.

Bloomington Brewing Company is proud to bring back our summer Belgian release, Lune Blanche. Aptly named, “White Moon”; we named our Belgian Blond in honor of the vitality of the summer night. Whether grilling with friends or pouring from the growler on your patio, Lune Blanche breathes life into your glass. Pouring copper in color, aromas of apricots, honeysuckle and banana envelop your glass. At first taste, this juicy, medium full bodied ale blends flavors of cotton candy, cereal grain with a slight peppery kick to finish each sip. A very smooth beer leaves with a slight drying finish, refreshing till the end. That is, until you fill your glass again.

A base of roasted malts gives this beer its characteristic coffee and chocolate flavors, which are matched by a pleasantly assertive bitterness.

Four South African hops take the lead in Revolution 004. Two are experimental hops with pronounced tropical fruit qualities, along with distinct white grape and floral notes. The third hop presents a lively passion fruit character, while the fourth is more classically noble in profile. "Revolution 004 is a departure from the more citrusy stone fruit personality of Revolution 003, but as always you will sense common threads," Brynildson said. “And once again, all of these bold fruit aromas and flavors are derived wholly from pure hops."

Lupulado Batch #1 is the first of our fresh hop series. Batch #1 is a sessionable 4.5% pale ale brewed with fresh Cascade from New York. It has a nice crisp bitterness with strong earthy and herbal flavors. Batch #1 is excellent for hot days and is best served in a nonick pint.

Lupulin Astronaut is an India Pale Ale (IPA) brewed in honor of those brave souls who remain dedicated to discovering new worlds of citrusy hop flavor.

San Diego-style India Pale Ale (IPA) features complex grapefruit, lemon, tangerine and floral character in the aroma and flavor profile. The West coast hop character is supported by a soft, lightly bready mid-palate and a clean, bitter, dry finish. Beware this beer is very drinkable (alcohol is well hidden) and the smooth hoppy finish invites you to order several.

This Double IPA includes Mosaic and Simcoe hops, South American specialty malt, and tons of tastiness. Looks like liquid gold, smells like a bright tropical fruit pine forest, and tastes like all that and more.

Long thought to have gone extinct in the Late Cretaceous, the Lupulisaurus, greatest of the hop-eating thunder lizards, has made a return, attracted by new breeds of hops and the Northwest Beer Renaissance. A chance sighting in the valley has inspired this creation, high in alcohol, plus high hop bitterness, flavor, and aroma. Rampaging hops in the kettle, dry-hopping levels necessitating a bucket brigade up the ladder all result in a surprisingly and perilously drinkable Imperial IPA (or Double IPA, or, really 19th Century Burton Ale).

Introducing the newest addition to our meticulous lineup of core range offerings, LUPULOID IPA, a 6.7% ABV India Pale Ale. The most notable thing is that it is our first straight up IPA, no funny business, just malt, yeast, water and hops. Lots of hops. I guess it only took us four years!

Lupulust is a Belgian-style Tripel with a hop soul. A thick rocky head fills the nose with a candied bouquet of fruit and floral notes. A sip of this golden, full-bodied and effervescent ale leads to a piney, and citrus hop punch while retaining a traditional Tripel character. Inspired by the dry, fruity and floral brews available in Belgium, imparting our signature hop touch was the next natural step. Lupulust is the fusion of a timeless, classic recipe with a modern hop approach. Lupulust is highly attenuated resulting in a smooth dryness which will leave you lusting for more.

This dry hopped IPA exudes big citrusy aromatics followed by a well balanced blend of Centennial, Simcoe, Crystal and Cluster hops.

Lushingtons is a cool, hop-laden pale ale brewed using traditional methods with Cornish water; whole-flower Citra, Belma and Willamette hops; Cornish malted barley and wheat; and Skinner’s unique yeast. TASTE NOTES Bursting with fruit, within its bittersweet scent you’ll pick up lime and mangoes with a little lychee. And its creamy texture contains a slight strawberry finish. Enjoy with white meats, fish or a 99.

Our Interpretation of a Brettanomyces fermented Berlierweisse. Brewed with 60% white wheat, our house bacterial culture, and hopped with centennial.

This unltered Lustful Maiden displays a deep chestnut color and creamy head. She is a dirty girl and is rich and full bodied with notes of malt, caramel, roasted almonds, toffee, and honey with a bit of lingering hop bitterness on the finish. Pairs well with grilled bratwurst peppers and onions, barbecue, sharp and pungent cheeses, beef and other grilled meat. The Lustful Maiden is our most award winning "homebrewed" Belgian Dubbel Recipe. It won the 1996 Virginia Dominions cup as best Belgian. Also that year it took the silver medal in the Canadian Amateur Brewers Association. In 2012 this recipe won the Heavy Seas National Competition and was brewed at Clipper City and released to 19 states as the Letter of Marque.
