Magnetron

If you grew up in the US, there's a solid chance you once thought lagers were pale-yellow, flavorless, over-carbonated, marketing-driven, adjunct-riddled shame poured into icy-frosted glassware. We've all been there. But now we're here. Behold: Schwarzbier, the blackest of lagers. This is the one you pull out when you have a fucking point to make about the diversity of lagers. Magnetron is malty, medium-bodied, and gently hopped. The magic of lagering makes this brew rich, but mild and well-balanced. Expect flavors of bittersweet chocolate and coffee, and a gorgeous, dry finish. Darker than Satan's soul. As metal as Dave Lombardo's double-kick. None more black.

Magnifera Indica Belgae

Mango is the world’s most popular tropical fruit and is the fruit of passion. Here at the Fort George we are truly passionate about delicious beers and the Magnifera is the epitome of a delicious Belgian beer. With the yeast giving off strong spicy notes with earth tones that leave a peppery finish, we decided to combine such and exquisite yeast strain with the exotic Mango. We used whole, frozen chunks in a secondary ferment and let the beer sit for a week. The fruit came through very pleasantly, flavorful, but not sweet. At 7.3% ABV, the Magnifera is a strong and exotic beer that will keep Belgian beer fans coming back for more.

Magnum IPA

The third in our trio of Imperial IPA variations, the Magnum IPA is so named because it uses the extremely bitter hop variety Magnum. There is a medium amount of maltiness, with a moderate body, in stark contrast to the other two. The hops are extremely bitter, with less aroma and flavor than the Double Hop or Mega IPA, but with a bit more overall bitterness. The finish is less hop-oriented than the other two, with residual sweetness and little hop finish.

Mahon Falls Rye Pale Ale

Mahon Falls rye pale ale is all about the fresh flavour of American, Australian and English hops which are underscored by a nutty earthiness of rye malt. March 2014 sees the second bottle release of our spring seasonal, Mahon Falls Rye Pale Ale which was first served at festivals in 2012 to high acclaim – being pronounced ‘Beer of the Festival by the brewers at Brewer’s on the Bay in Galway and at the Irish Craft Beer Festival in the RDS in Dublin the single cask brought was sold out within minutes of being tapped. For this year’s release we are returning to the original recipe hop schedule which features Galaxy, Ella and Summit to give a punchy, fruity warmth which perfectly invokes the spirit of the season.
