A specialty one-off from our Heart and Soul Pilot Series. Our “bitter” is a taste of traditional British-style ales. This beer was brewed using imported Maris Otter malt, which is a barley variety favored by British brewers for its superior flavor. A karmicaly balanced biscuity-bready malt beverage destined to deliver an English spicy character. With it's lower alcohol and clean crisp finish, Pilot Butte Bitter is the perfect lubricant to robust bordering on volcanic feasting with friends over a Smokehouse pizza. Take a vigorous walk or ride up nearby Pilot Butte cinder cone and reward yourself afterwards with a beverage fit for a king.

Pilot Pale Ale is a deep straw colored, light bodied pale ale with a subtle hint of toasted malt. The hops add a floral and fruity profile to this Ale.

SMASH stands for Single Malt and Single Hop — and in this beer we have exclusively used Australian Galaxy hops and Premium Northwest Pilsner Malt. This beer is crisp and dry though the hops and malt both contribute the suggestion of sweetness. Overall the intention of this beer is to be simple but very flavorful, showcasing two ingredients that work to complement each other. A balanced aroma gives intense passion fruit, light guava, and herbal notes similar to thyme, and hints of exotic citrus. The hop aroma is balanced by light honey notes that are characteristically associated with the malt of a crisp Pilsner. The flavor has an initial rush of tropical fruit and herbal notes that linger intensely. The Galaxy hops take center stage, and after several seconds the juicy hop notes are joined by the very intense bitterness typical of this Australian variety.

For generations, the fine recipe has been passed down from master brewer to brew master. A secret recipe, it is not: hops, malted barley, water and yeast. But some instinct to brew from these four, simple at first glance ingredients our excellent Pils can only be acquired in intensive teaching at the brew kettle.

This is our take on a traditional German Pilsner. Generously hopped with a blend of Hallertauer and Saaz and fermented with a classic Bavarian yeast. Inspired by Munich, and our cycling adventures through Germany and the Czech Republic.
