The addition of Pomegranate to our American Wheat lends a mild fruity flavor and tart finish to this popular summer refresher. It's a special ale that's only available at the Gun Hill Brewery Tap Room.

Felicitous marriage between Calvados and freshly pressed tannin-rich apple juice, Pommeau combines power, sweetness and gentleness. Pommeau is produced by blending Calvados d'Appellation d'Origine Controlee, aged at least one year, and apple must. Apple must is the juice obtained just after pressing before fermentation begins. The mixture is obtained by successive additions of eau-de-vie. The respective quantities of must and Calvados are calculated in such a way as to obtain an alcoholic strength of 18%. After aging, the final percentage is 17%.

Pompelmocello is a tart, sour and puckering grapefruit IPA brewed with Grapefruit Juice, Grapefruit Zest, the most grapefruity hop profile we can muster and lactose for a slightly creamy mouthfeel and sweet edge. Just like its predecessor, Limoncello IPA, expect Pompelmocello to have plenty of shock factor.

Ponce, our jalapeno cucumber rye saison. One might argue that this is our best seasonal brew yet as you enjoy the crisp refreshment of cucumber while the slight heat of jalapeno peppers sneaks up and warms your soul. This is an intricate brew with an array of flavors that get better with every sip.

A fall take on our porter recipe, we add raw chopped seasonal pie pumpkins to our mash and finish the beer with a house pumpkin spice blend. Notes of coffee and chocolate from the dark roasted malts back the prominent spice blend leaving a complex flavor and aroma.

Brewed using American grains and Zythos, East Kent Golding, and Simcoe hops,Pond Hopper is a bit of a mix between an English and an American Pale Ale. Each cask has been dry hopped with varying combinations of Zythos, Simcoe, and UK Target hops.

A full bodied Porter dark in color with a nice hop finish.

A dark-ruby colored treat that is noticeably malty and sweet. Double decoction and a heap of Weyermann Caramunich malt make for a caramel rich beverage with subtle fruity notes of prune and grape. This doppelbock is a full-bodied beer that goes down with a smooth warmth!

Pontius Road Pilsner is a true American-style Pilsner. The beer contains malted barley blended with flaked maize (corn) to produce a deliciously distinct flavor. It may be light in body and color, but it has a full flavor that gives way to a refreshing crispness. Handfuls of hops provide pleasant aromas and a wonderful dry finish. Pontius Road Pilsner was designed to be like a colonial Pilsner. In colonial times, ingredients were often rationed so people used corn to supplement some of the barley in their beer recipes. Their Pilsners were also slightly hopped to add preservation. The name, Pontius Road Pilsner, derives from the road name that The Woodmaster, Bill Sohn, lives on. Bill encouraged Joe Short to move forward with his brewery business plan, and is a big reason why Short’s exists today!

Pony is bright, golden yellow, fresh herb and impresses with its pronounced aroma hops. The strong body and pleasant lingering much story tastes are typical characteristics for this pilsähliche specialty. Pony is a must for true beer drinkers and is favored by an older generation.

Pony Pasture Pilsner is a classic Bohemian Pilsner. Continental Pilsner Malt with a touch of Cara Malt comprise the structure of the beer. American Grown Sterling hops were utilized for bitter and aroma additions with that vintage Czech Saaz addition at 20 minutes for the noble aromatic blend of earth and spice that we love so much. Perfect for hot Virginia days down by the Rivah.

Brewed for Evolution Grille. Named by a 3-year old. I feel that the name is pretty self-explanatory.
