Igor Stravinskis’ Le Sacre du Printemps celebrates both the rebirth and bounty of spring as well as exploring the savagery of human superstition and ritual. With this masterpiece in mind I brewed a Rustic Saison using wild yeast and local honey. Like its musical and vernal inspiration, Rite of Spring is characterized by both delicacy and dissonance. The aromas of spring flowers and fresh oranges that leap forth from the glass are cast against immense earthiness and rustic funk from the wild yeast. Notes of soft fruits, toasty malt, and subtle honey sweetness dance gently around a pronounced bitterness, and ultimately fade into a bone dry finish. As the gloom of winter yields to rebirth and revelry, throw some Stravinsky on your turntable, crack open a bottle with your friends, and join us in celebrating The Rite of Spring! Oh, and please, no rioting.

In honour of the one being worshiped, we surrender to its sacred invitation, fore a solemn ritual, we have seen. Wrapped in profound hop bitterness and herbaceous hop flavors this uncommonly satisfying Pale Ale overpowers the senses. It’s bright and bold, hop forward taste is the result of double dry-hopping with Columbus and Cascade hops complemented by Amarillo in the brew kettle. Named for the mighty river that flows through the Czech Republic and into Germany, this sessionable amber lager has just enough malt and hop intensity to keep your interest, but not enough to be tiring.

A simple easy drinking beer hopped with Amarillo, El Dorado, and Cascade hops. Coffee Oatmeal stout. Dominated by chocolate and coffee flavors, balanced with just the right amount of roasted barley character. We add rolled oats that contribute a smooth and delicious body and mouthfeel. Finally, the beer is finished with an addition of local, cold-pressed Lucky Llama Espresso Roast coffee!

This Red Ale exhibits a copper red color provided by generous amounts of three kinds of crystal malt. These malts also lend a substantial malty character that is balanced by three different American hop varieties, resulting in a full-bodied ale that as a vigorous American hop presence.

The second installment of our Rivertucky Reserve is an Imperial Stout brewed here in Riverside and age for a full year in Kentucky bourbon barrels. Notes of chocolate and hits of coffee and vanilla balance well with this brew’s Alcohol content (16%); Subtle dark fruit notes with a slight tobacco hint finish off the flavor of this complex beer.
