Midwest Charm

Traditionally brewed seasonally in the barn and other farmhouse buildings, thus the name. This style almost died out due to the perception of being a “regular person’s beer” but was revived by craft and home brewers with the love of its diversified flavors. Cloudy amber color with some spicyness and earthy flavors from the yeast. This semi-dry, medium bitterness beer has been revitalized because of “regular people” loving great beer.

Midwest IPA

It means India Pale Ale. It's all about the hops on this one. Brewers use hops to add bitterness and aroma to their beers. If not for hops your beer would be too sweet. Our IPA uses plenty of Chinook and Columbus hops from the Pacific Northwest. The flavor can best be described as strong resiny grapefruit. The long drawn out hop flavor is essential to the character of the beer. So smack your buds on this one all you HOP HEADS.

Midwestern Pale Ale

Midwestern Pale Ale stands apart from the model of completely hop-dominated pale ales, offering a noticeable degree of malt body to counter the hop bitterness. A blend of floral & herbal hop notes provide the aromatic & flavor highlights, alongside the distinctive contribution of our house ale yeast. A crisp bitterness finishes the experience without being harsh.

Mild

Mild is traditionally the month that Camra promote Mild and we like to offer our support when we can and produce a 4.0% abv dark Mild for May. Mild doesn't necessary mean week: it means 'not bitter'. Many Milds are indeed low gravity, but the most important characteristic of this style is that is has a low hop rate which makes it rounder, normally slightly sweeter, and distinctly less bitter on the palate and in aroma than more highly hopped bitters. Usually but not always Mild is darker in colour than bitter.

Mild At Heart

‘Dark Mild’ English style session beer with the ABV and color of an Irish Stout but a nuttier, softer mouthfeel from crystal and chocolate malts, and a finishing dryness from aroma hops. Brewed for drinkability to extract the maximum complexity and flavor from a relatively ‘light’ beer, warm fermented to accentuate dark fruit and roast malt notes. Conceived for cask and perfect served as a Real Ale. Hopped with Cluster and Perle.

Milepost 652 ESB

652 is our American take on the old English Pale Ale style called ESB, but this is anything but bitter. A very simplistic blend of malts reveals a smooth drinking beer that is a touch on the sweet side with a light Centennial hop aroma. 652 still slides in at almost 6% ABV, and was created for the enjoyment of all. Like most American spinoffs of British creations, the Brits should be thanking us for our improvements, and you will too.
