Twentieth Anniversary Ale

Anniversary XX is a continuation of our innovative approach to brewing over the past twenty years – an approach that has included leading the way in the development of Belgian style beers, a barrel-aging program, the re-introduction of long-neglected imperial stout styles, and the new packaging ideas. We think it’s a fitting crown for our first two decades of operation. XX is a unique beer, pale and lightly hopped, brewed with agave nectar and fermented with a special yeast strain. Some of the lots were aged in oak barrels and then blended to perfection so the final is a complex, subtle new direction in brewing art.

What else? What else would you expect from us, a bunch of severely hop obsessed brewers, to celebrate such a glorious occasion? Anything other than a massively hopped IPA would be an affront to our rich history of loving excessive use of that beautiful flower, Humulus Lupulus. 1993-2013. 20 years of brewing excellence. To all who have played a part in creating such a vibrant and quality conscious culture, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts and pint glasses!!

Twenty Knots

Our take on a Belgian-style Tripel is named after the schooner "Atlantic". This gorgeous vessel achieved 20 knots during her sea trials in 1903. Expect aromas of banana, light clove, and pear followed by flavors of apricot, spicy esters, and pear. This beer has a light sweetness but finishes dry with a touch of hop attitude.

Twenty Three

Inspired by Brabant (remember that one?) and the goodness of its marriage of Brettanomyces fermentation and Belgian dark malts, we’ve crafted this celebratory wild ale using three strains of Bretts. Our house strain, Brettanomyces drie, brings loads of ripe stone fruit aromas to the mix. Brettanomyces bruxellensis lends the classic horsey and rustic aspects of a traditional wild ale, while Brettanomyces custersianus delivers massive tropical fruit essences to the flavor party. Add some beautiful, dark and robust Belgian specialty malts for caramel, chocolate and fig elements and you have this — our rendition of a Dark Farmhouse Ale. - See more at: https://www.averybrewing.com/beers/twenty-three-anniversary#sthash.WG3yODNf.dpuf

100% Brettanomyces Fermented Dry-Hopped Wild Ale. " While touring Belgium with the greatest of friends in 2006, the Avery family came across a stunning creation in a quaint countryside pub that we all agreed was the best brew of the trip. Secreting home a couple of bottles, they intended to cultivate the wild yeast that spontaneously worked its magic in Beersel and propagate our own projects here in Boulder."

Twice As Mad Tom IPA

While the legend of Mad Tom is laden with mystery and intrigue, one thing remains clear - Mad Tom did things his own way. Twice as Mad Tom is an aggressively twice dry-hopped Imperial India Pale Ale, that delivers a definitive hop aroma and unabashedly big bold flavor. We brew this beer with the road less traveled in mind, and in the spirit of old Mad Tom, we make no bones about it.

Twilight Summer Ale

The top’s down. The burgers are grilling. The shadows are long. The days stretch late into the evening. Summer has its own rules. And, at Deschutes, its own beer. We brew Twilight Ale to be a lighter, but full-flavored ale with a balanced malt profile and a harmonious blend of four hops. Then a final heady dose of bold Amarillos creates a distinctive finish. We took Twilight as a challenge. The chance to prove that light doesn’t mean boring. Some beers go perfectly with foods, this one pairs with lawn chairs, bare feet and life kicked-back. Best enjoyed chilled and served outside.

Twilight Superstition

Inspired by: Washington Irving's The Legend of Sleepy Hollow Ah, the infamous town of Sleepy Hollow! As described by Washington Irving: "The whole neighborhood abounds with local tales, haunted sots, and twilight superstitions; stars shoot and meteors glare more often across the valley than in any other part of the country, and the nightmare with her whole ninefold seems to make it the favorite of her gambols" Well said Mr. Irving. We will leave it at that. Malt: Pale Malt, Maris Otter, Melanoiden, Oats Carafa III Brewers: notes: Our pumpkin treat this year includes over 110 pounds of "shattered" pumpkin, a touch of spice, a rich malty backbone and a crisp sour finish. The nose is reminiscent of fresh roasted squash, tart autumn fruit and caramel. Fall is here!

Twin Arrows Brown Ale

Twin Arrows designed from the ground up to be paired with food, and included in recipes. We created roast and caramel flavors to pair with baked goods, barbecue, and cheeses. Twin Arrows was influenced by the many dining establishments found along the roadways of America. Many of the comfort foods such as meatloaf and pot roast will find good company with this brown ale. Two arrows made of wood loomed over U.S. Highway 66 east of Flagstaff and attracted travelers into the trading post and dining car for many years. Sadly, this stop has been abandoned, but can be seen from the frontage road that extends between the two Interstate 40 ramps.

Make the trek up the 11,428’ peaks for breathtaking views, or enjoy them from afar right here at the brewery. As an expression of admiration we have crafted Twin Sisters Double IPA. This is no ale of singular dimension, for double doesn’t just mean double the hops, but double the malt in our book. Twisted Bit

Every tool has a life of its own. It has a history and a soul. (Yes, we actually believe that.) Some were forged to perform reliably, days after long days. Some were designed to give its life quickly, like that saw blade you sacrificed to the rusted bumper bolts. But that’s a lot like you, isn’t it – you were designed to do something unique. And even if you haven’t yet found your thing, we raise this Twisted Bit Dortmunder to you. This is a crisp, refreshing true pale lager that the Dortmund region of Germany has enjoyed for countless generations. It’s brewed for those that see effort and honor in a twisted bit, rather than the flaw. This traditional German style lager has the malt profile of a Helles and the hop character of a Pilsner, but is slightly stronger than both. The minute addition of common minerals to the brewing water, and the longer traditional decoction mash impart a crisp and remarkable balance between the malt complexity and the subtle bitterness.
