Twisted Kilt

Twisted Kilt is a traditional Scotch Ale layered with subtle smokey malt and thick caramel flavor and aroma. Pours a clear, dark amber-red color with a lingering tan head, full body and thick, chewy mouthfeel. True to style, Twisted Kilt’s dense caramel and toffee flavor are balanced by pleasant earthy/citrus hop notes and warming alcohol presence. A very drinkable, Scotch Ale to be sure, but burly enough to send even the noblest lad beggin fer his ma.

Twisted Oak Scotch Ale

Scotch Ale is the flagship of our Twisted Oak Stillage Series. Born as a rich, creamy strong ale, it is allowed to rest in wood barrels to mature and develop flavors slowly and naturally. The nose combines bourbon, American oak, and cotton candy aromas. Complex malt flavors framed in oak, with hints of vanilla, tobacco, and toffee. This is definitely a sipping beer, best served in a brandy snifter.

Twisted Wit

Belgian monks named the style “white beer” for its foggy sunrise appearance. The frosty glow shows the use of unmalted wheat, providing the beer’s characteristic haze. Our summer beer follows this tradition and the addition of orange peel and coriander, but a pinch of grapefruit peel adds a subtle twist. Take a sip and your lips will flip like a sunshine smile.

Two 5 Left DIPA

A brazenly hop-forward beast of a beer, with a huge passionfruit nose. A subtle caramel character provides a malt backbone to shoulder the massive amount of dry-hopping that gives this beer its unique aroma and hop flavor. Two 5 Left is the runway that sends planes screaming right over El Segundo. We always knew we would name a beer after this local landmark and when it came to naming our first Double IPA, it fit the bill perfectly.

Two Boots

Two Boots is Abita's first ever collaboration brew. We chose to collaborate with Birrificio del Ducato, an award-winning craft brewery located in Parma, Italy known for using natural and local ingredients. Appropriately named for the shape of Louisiana and Italy, Two Boots is a Saison brewed with peppercorns, lemon balm and honey. This beer uses pilsner and wheat malts and is hopped with German Perle hops. We used raw honey from a local producer, Blood River Honey, to give the brew a very dry finish perfect for a Saison. The addition of the lemon balm, green and pink peppercorns enhance the overall flavor of the brew. The honey is added in the brewhouse at the end of the boil and the lemon balm and peppercorns are added in the aging tank. The result is a very balanced beer with the flavors of the malted barley, wheat, hops, yeast, herbs and honey all blended together for a refreshing brew.

Two Evil Pachamama Porter

Our second collaboration with Danish/Brooklyn brewery Evil Twin, Two Roads and Evil Twin have paid homage to Incan heritage by using three Peruvian staple foods in this porter: sweet potatoes, purple mais and aji panca chili peppers. Pachamama is a goddess revered by the indigenous people of the Andes; she is known as the earth mother in Inca mythology. Given that the main ingredients of the 6.5% ABV porter come from the rich Peruvian soil, the two breweries thought the name Pachamama fit this product beautifully.

Two Front Teeth Holiday Ale

Two Front Teeth Ale is a specialty made just for the holiday season. TFTA is a Belgian style Saison with a complex palate derived from the addition of sweet cherries in the brewing process. Light mahogany in color, it hits the tongue with a full-bodied malty taste that is balanced with a light hop aroma, then finishes with a fruity cherry blast that lingers pleasantly. Stop by the Taproom and ask Matt how this festive ale got its name.

Two Gypsies - Our Side

Mikkel and Brian are two of the world's most unconventional brewers. By designing beers at various breweries around the globe, they have found the freedom to experiment and innovate, resulting in unique beers that often blur the lines of definition. After having met at a festival in Bodegraven, NL the two realized that their first creations both were called Stateside. It was then an obvious decision to make the two recipes into a new product, packed full of piney, resinous hops, and backed by the esters of a farmhouse yeast strain.

Two Hearted Firkin (Cask)

A more authentically old-fashioned version of Two-Hearted Ale. The carbonation is very low, with the head looking like a thin film of rather large soap bubbles. It was reddish in color, slightly hazy. The flavor is balanced and well integrated, a bit to the hoppy side, very much like regular Two-Hearted in some ways but distinctly more mellow.
