Originally brewed for the brewer’s wife, a dedicated Stout lover. She requested a dark, rich Stout that she could not see her hand on the other side of the glass. It was to be made full-bodied, with chocolate tones and a creamy finish. And as she is married to a brewer… plenty of hops! At 6.9% ABV, this beer delivered. To pay homage to the Southern roots of Oskar Blues, our buddy Jonny Barber and the smooth character of this beer, we chose to name it the Velvet Elvis. He even made an appearance in the brewery several weeks ago for the brewing of this beer. Check out the Velvet Elvis Video, and enjoy this smooth Stout during the winter months.

Batch 333: The Velvet Fog is the second release in our King's Reserve Series, a large Belgian-Style Strong Ale. It's a malt forward beer with a complex fruity aroma and flavor. Hints of caramelized brown sugar and dried cherries delight the senses before a slight alcohol warming on the finish. The Velvet Fog was a winner of the Gold Medal at the 2012 World Beer Cup in the Belgian-Style Dark Strong Ale.

A tribute to our favorite Brewmaster, Greg Matthews, the Velvet Hammer appears as a dark, ruby reddish-brown ale beneath a sheath of protective off-white foam. It is malt-forward with elements of caramel and the sweetness of light brown sugar, balanced nicely by a combination of floral hops and a noticeable alcohol bite. It's a sturdy brew with a smooth character which belies both an inner strength and a slightly full body, along with a moderate bitterness to round out the taste.

Each vintage of the Velvet Hammer has a slightly different flavor composition as our oak barrels age and mature. But it is always vinous and tart with dark fruits and a moderate acidity with subtle earthy and barnyard undertones. Velvet Hammer is part of our sour series and is available only at Corner Brewery. It is a Belgian Dubbel-style base beer aged in a gueuze-inoculated oak cask for a year and then bottle conditioned. A new vintage is released the first Saturday in June on Velvet Hammer Day.

This is our Velvet Merlin Oatmeal Stout aged in Bourbon Barrels and it just won the 2010 and 2011 Gold medal at the GABF for barrel aged beers!!! This beer goes into the barrels as a roasty dark chocolate, coffee accented mild mannered stout and comes out transformed as a milk chocolate, smooth dark cherry, vanilla and coconut infused masterpiece. We are incredibly proud of this beer and it seems as though it was always meant to be a barrel aged brew. 100% Oak Barrel Aged Very limited draft availability.

Our beloved Velvet Merlin aged with cocoa nibs and Intelligentsia Espresso Beans. All of the smooth textures and roasty dark chocolate goodness of our seasonal Velvet Merlin Oatmeal Stout with the added infusion of Intelligentsia Coffee House aromas and cocoa dusted chocolate truffle flavors. This brew makes debut in our 2014 Winter Bundle pack - the only way to find this elusive collabroation.

Our award winning Nitro-Stout has a velvety mouth feel and nicely balanced bitterness. Two row base, roasted barley, Carafa II, flaked oats, flaked barley, chocolate malt, and black patent malt are balanced with a simple schedule of American “C” hops. Velvet Revolution is our original black lager, a delicious light bodied, slightly sweet larger. The body is smooth, the aroma malty and slightly fruity, with hints of chocolate in the finish.

Introducing the newest and smoothest member of the Yeti family, VELVET YETI. The surprisingly velvety and rich mouthfeel of the nitro pour rounds out the unmistakeable roasty, caramel & toffee notes that make Yeti such a beast. Despite its minimal 5.0% ABV, this smooth operator is sure to provide maximum joy.

Dark and luscious, Vendel Imperial Stout is a big roasty beer with a wonderful aroma of coffee and dark chocolate emanating from its light brown head. Brewed with flaked oats for a creamy, satisfying mouthfeel, you’ll experience flavors of dark-roasted coffee and rich, bittersweet chocolate. Vendel’s recipe includes Sumatra coffee roasted locally at the Coffee Factory in Derry and is the perfect beer to warm up with during the harsh New England winters.

We propose a toast to Nick and Bambi Venetucci. Over the six decades that they ran their family farm, they gave away literally millions of pumpkins to school children all across the Springs. Just before he died, Nick made plans to donate the farm to the Pikes Peak Community Foundation, that it might be preserved forever as a rich community resource. And, yes, so that hundreds of children wouldn't go empty-handed each fall. The Venetuccis taught us to give back. That's why 100% of the profits from this beer will go to support their farm. This American-Style Pale Ale is aggressively hopped giving it a citrusy flavor and aroma. No antidote needed. This beer is dark-golden, medium-bodied and very hoppy. It is American-style because American-grown hops are used rather that European.

Venture is a Maine IPA created to revel in the breadth of flavors and aromas that can be coaxed from hops. The blend of hops in this beer provide rich flavors of berries, tropical fruit, citrus and pine without lingering bitterness.

Our amber hued, Rye India Pale Ale is brewed with range of high-dried malts, British Dark Crystal, and loads of malted Rye. Intensely hopped with Cascade, Centennial, Columbus, and Citra and Simcoe. It is dominated by flavors of resinous pine, juicy citrus, and earthy rye.

Madhouse partnered with Sweet Maple Farms from Cedar Rapids, IA to produce this unique Nutbrown Ale with the addition of 100% pure Iowa maple syrup. This classic Nutbrown recipe also features US Fuggle hops and Victory malt.

Venus�goddess of love and beauty�exudes grace and voluptuousness. Indulgent with lush dark malts and sensuous star anise, VENUS is decadent and divine in body and spirit. Leisure lounging in French oak Cabernet Sauvignon wine casks results in a lovely liquid feast of fabulously luxurious flavors.

Brewmaster Steve took his Belgian Amber Ale and re-fermented it in a merlot cask with 100# of sweet Michigan cherries from Husteds Farm Market. He than moved the resulting beer into another cask with 30# of tart cherries. 5 fermentations due to wild yeast and 9 months later, we have our version of a Belgian Kriek. Named after our good friend and musician, April Verch.

The "Verhaeghe-Pils" is a lager, brewed for the local distribution. This lager differs from most other Belgian pilsen by its full malt taste and its relatively high bitterness. The aromatic hop variety Saaz gives the "Verhaeghe-Pils" despite its high bitterness a fresh, pleasant bitter taste. A selection of Northern French pilsner-malts gives the "Verhaeghe-Pils" its full malt flavor and its gold blond color.

Yea VERILY, indeed. This brew is the strongest of our flagship offerings in many ways, not the least of which the ABV. A classic Belgian Trappist Dubbel style brown ale, it features a beautiful deep ruby color and a deliciously complex malty taste. We have put all of our love of Belgian beers into this creation. If ye seek truth, this be your brew. Verily you will!
