Vanilla Bean Buffalo Sweat is a combination of our award-winning oatmeal cream stout, Buffalo Sweat, with whole Ugandan vanilla beans. The result is the natural espresso-chocolate flavors of Buffalo Sweat infused with the sweetness of vanilla. It’s an exceptional treat on a cold winter’s night.

Despite a good 300 plus days of sun in our Centennial State, winter does at some point find us in Colorado. With its arrival we tend to reach for our long johns and this season’s selection of winter ales. At Horse & Dragon our master brewer conjured up the Vanilla Caramel Double Cream Ale taking the challenge to make a big winter ale that wasn’t a thick stout (though that stout is on the way also!). A wonderful winter warmer, this creamy, sweet ale will bring to mind warm blankets, fireside conversations, and all the best holiday cookies. It is available on both CO2 and nitrogen, and with either gas it pours with a delicious, creamy head that is redolent with the vanilla caramel aroma that gives the beer its name. Caramel continues in the taste, and the beer finishes with a bit of the warning that it is not an ale to be taken lightly (it’s 8.0% ABV).

A sweet mead made with whole cinnamon sticks, vanilla beans and aged on American oak. Each vanilla bean is sliced open by hand before being adding to the mead to ensure maximum flavor extraction.

Vanilla Cinnamon Mead is a semi-sweet mead that is crafted from 100% raw wildflower honey, water, and yeast. A trifecta of cinnamon that includes Indonesian, Ceylon, and Saigon varieties is added during aging and coupled with Madagascar vanilla beans to impart their rich, warming flavors.

This cream ale is a great session beer coming in at 4.2% ABV. With a suspicious cream soda quality this ale has a pleasant vanilla aroma accented by a mild yet pronounced vanilla taste, making this cream ale a perfect summer beer.

Vanilla Gorilla, Brick Mason Series #8, has developed a cult following over the years. The original recipe was simply our Red Brick Porter with Madagascar Vanilla beans added. Over the years we've brewed different variations including the use of cherry wood smoked malt, aging in Jack Daniels barrels, peated malt and even smoking the vanilla beans at Fox Bros., a local BBQ joint. This Russian Imperial Stout is dedicated to Georgy Zhukov, arguably one of the finest generals of World War II. Huge in body with strong flavors of espresso, chocolate and molasses, this interpretation of Zhukov's adds roasted hazelnuts and vanilla to impart more complexity and depth of flavor to this massive, jet-black stout.
