Our No Doubt Stout is dry hopped with vietnamese coffee, contributing a bourbon like coffee flavor and aroma to an already solid beer.

The name Vigneronne Cantillon was given in 1987. This name reminds us that, while it belongs to the beer patrimony, the spontaneous fermentation, the ageing in the barrels for several years and the addition of grapes make it a distant cousin of certain white wines. In spite of its success, the Vigneronne represents less than 5% of the total production of the Cantillon brewery. In order to obtain grapes which are as mature as possible, we buy them at the end of the season. Every year, 1000 kilos of white italian grapes are delivered at the Cantillon brewery in the beginning of October.

What is a Teeter-Totter IPA? It has big hops but a light body. A summer sipper for hop heads. Lower alcohol, lots of flavor--hops shining bright. The slightest smolder of cherry wood smoke malt for those interested in more than just a bitter bite.

A collaboration with Denmark’s Anders Kissmeyer, Viking Gose is a Nordic twist on the ancient German style, brewed utilizing distinctive & traditional Scandinavian ingredients: rye malt & juniper twigs, evoking the local Sahti; smoked malt, inspired by the indigenous Skibsøl ale , and Danish smoked salt.

Here’s a beer designed to showcase American hops in all their citrusy, piney, bright and fresh glory. The lightly sweet malt body lets the hops shine through in both the flavor and aroma.

Village Green is intensely hopped with six hop varieties that offer a cornucopia of aromas ranging from passion fruit, peach, and pineapple to grapefruit and lemon zest. We use English Maris Otter to balance the intense hop aromas producing a malt-balanced East Coast version of a Double IPA.

Cherry. Crisp. Tart. She’s everything you’d expect. Sweet like a cherry and sharp as a tack, she puts a luster on the dullest mood. Tart montmorency cherries meld with tart apples for a delightful addition to any occasion. Just sweet enough.

Imported German Magnum and Hallertau hops balance the smooth malt sweetness of this brilliant golden beer, delivering a delicate flavor that can only be described as exquisite.

As the trend in the US for barreled beers steadily grows we have been hard at work getting our very own barrel program up and running. We started with the Vannie Hout and have moved forward with the Vin de Saison, Devil’s Peak Brewing Company’s very own wine and beer hybrid. What is a wine and beer hybrid? It’s rather an open category, but essentially it translates to grape must (juice) or even whole grapes being incorporated during the brewing process. Some add it to the mash others add it to the boil and some even combine it directly to the cooled wort prior to fermentation. For our regular Vin de Saison we added 20% Swartland Chenin blanc aquired from Mullineux Family wines. We opted for this grape variety as it’s the most widely grown wine grape variety in South Africa and increasingly becoming a force to be reckoned with internationally. In addition to our regular Vin de Saison, this year we mixed things up a bit by allowing one barrel to ferment naturally/wild without the addition of our regular Saison yeast, rather relying on yeast present on the grapes and within the barrel. So what does a wine beer hybrid taste like? Well it’s fundamentally a beer with a super fresh aroma and a lovely crisp grape derived acidity. Typically I like to describe these beers as the Champagne of the beer world. Named after the Roman festival held to bless and sample the wine of the previous season, Vinalia Urbana, a Belgian-style golden ale, is aged for months in freshly emptied Sauvignon Blanc barrels. This maturation process lends some light vinous notes and a hint of oak that blend beautifully with the subtle fruit and light spicy character imparted by the Belgian yeast. Vinalia Urbana is delightfully dry and delicate on the palate with lingering white grape and stone fruit undertones.

American Style session sour ale. Fermented with brett and lacto. Dry hopped with Mosaic and Citra.

This beer was inspired by both East and West coast IPAs. Drawing its dank piney hop character from the West, and its smooth light bitterness, along with its dry "crushabilty" from the East, Vine Shine combines both styles a truly unique IPA.

An all-malt, German styled Pilsner that is light in body and bitterness, offering a premium flavor that is sure to please!

Our friends at Oliver Winery have had a hand in our Sour Ale program since the beginning. The first oak barrels acquired by Upland were purchased from Oliver. Now, many years later, we are excited to present this collaboration between friends that represents our Sour Program full circle. VinoSynth Red is a blend of 50% Sour Reserve and 50% Malefactor Flanders-style Red Ale aged on Catawba grapes. Catawba is a native North American variety, known for making jams and jellies, and distinctly juice, fruity, exotic wines. Malefactor was blended with Sour Reserve to develop more body, mild bourbon barrel character, and a layered acidity to complement the Catawba’s innate sweet, fruity notes.
