Vannie Hout

This brett-infused, barrel-aged, farmhouse ale is really something special. It has spent the last six months in chardonnay and pinot noir barrels. Six months. Have you ever sat for 4320 hours straight doing the exact same thing? The Vannie Hout has. Day and night. Summer, autumn and winter. It has toiled away at becoming awesome, and let me tell you friends, awesome it has become. “I WANT ALL OF THE BOTTLES!” That’s the email I sent. Give them to me. Plug that funky farmhouse ale into my veins and let me die a happy man. Fortunately for you, I was told if I wanted a bottle I’d have to stand in line with everyone else. “WHY?!” Because we only have 660 bottles. That’s why. Well, to be honest . . . we had another six but a sharply (if not a bit darkly) dressed gentleman showed up at the brewery one morning and requested them. We couldn’t say no, and we’d rather leave it at that.

Vapor Trail Cream Ale

Vapor Trail Cream Ale- Aptly named from the milky white lacing left behind on your glass after this beer is long gone…which won’t be long once you’ve tasted your first sip! With a generous amount of honey and biscuit malts, this smooth, sweet, easy-to drink-ale is going to pave the trail in our Flagship Series and will keep you coming back for more. Vapor Trail is the perfect session ale while at the lake or a great way to cap off a hard day’s work. “Probably one of the best beers in Huntsville is the Vapor Trail Cream Ale.” AL.COM, February 5th, 2015.

Vaquero Dark Mexican Lager

Dark Mexican Lager what is that? I thought all Mexican beer tastes and looks like Corona? Historically a Mexican Lager was born from a Vienna Lager and is still being produced today, think Negro Modelo. This malty but yet dry finishing beer is a great introduction to lagers of the darker variety.

Varicose Alley Belgian Amber

Beatnik slang for the runway in a strip club. A complex blend of malts teamed with American hops go into making our Belgian Amber ale. A flavor profile of light chocolate, clove and a mild roast that finishes with a toasted bitterness.

Varna Necropolis - Stochasticity Project

For many, the verbiage "Belgian Golden Strong Ale" conjures the mental visage of a chalice of straw-hued liquid nearly overflowing with tight, fluffy, white bubbles. Though that effervescent European classic was a solid base for this, the sophomore release from our center for beer experimentation, but to test its unexplored possibilities, we added a sufficient lode of hops to up the ale’s bitter character and dry finish. Next came a lengthy aging period in bourbon whiskey barrels, quite the rarity for this style. Named for the Bulgarian site from which the largest golden treasure in history was excavated, this beer presents a wealth of next-level nuances including vanilla, wood and spice.

Vatos Muertos "Tequila Barrel"

Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) is celebrated yearly between October 31st and November 2nd throughout Mexico and other countries around the world to honor the deceased. Marigolds, sugar skulls, as well as favorite foods and beverages are left at gravesites as gifts to encourage visits by the souls. Strangeways exalts this tradition by brewing a celebratory stout with agave nectar, Mexican cinnamon, and an assortment of chili peppers including Anaheim, jalapeño, poblano and serrano. After fermentation, the elixir is aged in Mexican tequila barrels with Guatemalan cacao nibs and ghost peppers to give it just a “bit” more heat…

Vaughn’s Peanut Butter

Have you ever found yourself eating a spoonful (or more) of delicious peanut butter? Somewhere in the collective American consciousness is this desire for guilty pleasures. If you don’t have an allergy to nuts, then perhaps you know what I’m talking about. After college my roommate’s mother bought him groceries. He (Vaughn) always had food while I was starving on a shoestring budget. So, for basic survival I’d eat out of his peanut butter jar and smooth over my spoon marks. He’d go crazy and tell me to stay out of his stuff! That began my obsession with peanut butter (the 5th food group). In our Porter, the peanut butter adds a tinge of warm satisfaction as the flavor sits on the back of the palate. We separate the oil from the nut paste and remove any residual oils from the fermentation. What you’re left with is a dark and creamy porter that might keep you out of the peanut butter jar, at least for that day. Raise your glass to Vaughn!

Vedett Extra Blond

Vedett, a blond, light, well hopped premium beer with 5.2% alcohol content, is the cult Duvel Moortgat beer today: following its birth in 1945, it quickly acquired fame and recognition within an intimate circle of insiders in the Antwerp-Brussels region. But do not think for a moment that this oldtimer is thinking about retirement, quite the contrary. For the past years, Vedett has been going through a second childhood in a number of trendy cafés located mainly in big cities. The secret of its charm? A retro-look, a capricious taste, Vedett-allure and the "golden touch" of the brewery. These past years, the brewery armed Vedett with an innovative, hip, young and slightly absurd image. A successful strategy, especially with the youth: Right now, you'll find Vedett in Belgian Delhaize supermarkets and most Flemish cities as well as in Brussels. And the follow-up to the story? You can read it at www.vedett.com.

Velebitsko Svijetlo

Clear golden pour, small white head, short lived. Smells better than the average, some nice and bitter hops, faint yellow apple. Taste starts with sweet malts, again the nice cereal taste like the Tamno Pivo, bit of toastiness, followed fast by dry grassy bitterness until the finish. Some mild fruitiness throughout, faint floral notes too. Smooth light body, medium carbonation. Aftertaste is mostly bitter. Nice beer, tho it has some off "homemade" notes.
