Whistler Imperial Pils

The piercing howl of the SD#1 Whistler Buoy echoes for miles, hailing ships of rocky shores ahead. Like its namesake, Whistler Imperial Pils warns and welcomes at the same time. The grassy and floral bitterness of Saaz hops warns this is no ordinary pilsner, while authentic Moravian malts provide a toasted malt balance that welcomes another sip. Finishing crisp and dry, this addition to the Coastal Reserve Series is right at home in America’s finest beer city.

White

White is a tip of the hat to the great Belgian-style witbiers (or white beers). While this style of beer is usually delicate and subtle, ours is anything but. It’s brewed with traditional ingredients, such as unmalted wheat, orange peel and coriander, and fermented with our house Belgian yeast strain. With a dry hop level that matches an IPA, White features a commanding aroma more like its American peers than its Belgian ancestors. Tropical notes abound with a crisp, dry finish.

White

Our version of a Belgian classic, brewed with wheat malt and spiced with coriander and orange peel. Pours a beautiful hazy blond-gold with a thick pearly white head. The nose is yeasty with a light aroma of fruit and spice. This beer is as crisp and refreshing as the aroma implies, with the wheat malt supplying a full, somewhat sweet background to the orange and coriander flavor. Spritzy carbonation lifts the sweetness to lend a crisp finish. A great beer for a warm summer day.

White

With a citrusy aroma and a creamy palate, Dageraad White is our take on the spiced wheat ales or “witbiers” traditionally brewed in the Brabant region of Belgium. Flavourful but drinkable, Dageraad White pairs excellently with any dish that benefits from a spicy hit of citrus, such as fish or salad. Dageraad White is fermented with Belgian yeast and bottle conditioned for natural carbonation, and an extra layer of complexity. Pour with care to leave the yeast sediment in the bottle.

White Chocolate

The primary component of our “White Oak” ale is a 100% barrel aged wheat wine that we affectionately refer to as “White Oak Sap.” Essentially a “summer” barley-wine style ale, but made with a wheat heavy grain base, White Oak Sap is aged in used bourbon barrels for nearly a year and comes out rich in flavors of coconut, honey, caramel and vanilla. To compliment the already rich flavors of the beer, we’ve added cacao nibs and vanilla beans to give this beer the delicate flavor of white chocolate…hence the name.

White Falcon

White Falcon is a Belgian White Ale hopped assertively like an American India Pale Ale. Its pale yellow color is lightened further by an appropriate haze from the use of malted white wheat. An intense, fruit-filled nose comprised of notable hop aromas, distinctive yeast esters, and pronounced lemon and orange zest is prominent. Flavors of soft grain and earthy hops mingle with an overall fruitiness, amplified by coriander and other lively spice qualities. An agreeable bitterness heightens in the finish before turning unmistakably dry.

White Fang Lager

This all-American original style beer has been known for over a hundred and fifty years as the "Steam Beer". Once brewed right here in Virginia, this style is more recently called a "California Common". Author Jack London wrote of this crowd-pleasing light amber beer brewed using Lager yeast, yet fermented like an Ale. The result is a complex and flavorful, yet smooth brew.
