Rich, roasty, and loaded with chocolate and coffee flavors, this sweet black ale is robust and full bodied. This beer is an excellent pair to any meal, especially meat dishes and desserts. A unique brewing practice allows us to achieve a remarkable flavor profile, by marrying flavors of chocolate, coffee, as well as raisin, caramel, sour fruit, and candy.

Formerly known as "Peak One Porter," it is a complex recipe utilizing 6 Malts, and 2 varieties of hops to create a dark, creamy and most importantly, balanced flavored “Robust Porter”. A local favorite!

Offering your palate layers of coffee and chocolate flavor and a feathery mouthfeel, Fernson Porter finishes with just the right amount of roasty bitterness. Back East Porter is a full-bodied chestnut brown porter with notes of chocolate and caramel. This hearty beer offers a thick light brown head and is hopped just enough to offset the sweet maltiness and roasty undertones. This bold beer is refreshing enough to be enjoyed year round, but is at its best as a satisfying winter warmer or paired with a grilled steak, pork roast, or a burger.

Don't let the name fool you, we make it in a brew kettle. This porter is black in color with medium body and a roasted malty flavor.

Rich black porter with a unique blend of chocolate, coffee, roasted and nutty flavors. Brewed with cocoa powder and conditioned with cacao nibs from Taza Chocolate. Bold flavors from the cacao nibs and black malts are balanced with a special blend of pale malts, oats and wheat to produce a lush and lingering mouthfeel.

Porters were the first industrialized beers and this Brown Porter is meant to convey the industrial side of an otherwise pastoral Petaluma. British pale and brown malts are complimented with a mixture of English and German hops. Saaz hops working their shift after the British ale yeast make Porterluma a very flavorful and easy-drinking ale.

Unmistakably malty, Possum Trot draws its inspiration from the classic brown ales of England. This unique style, given Kansas City’s original nickname, combines a variety of barley to produce a toasty, nutty malt flavor with a slight hop bitterness in the finish for balance. Gold Medal Winner at the 1997 Great American Beer Festival. Bronze Medal Winner at the 1998 International World Beer Cup.

Formerly known as the Standard Porter. A smooth, Highly drinkable interpretation of a classic style. Very subtle aroma of light coffee, chocolate, and roast with a slight earthy bitterness and a moderately sweet, creamy flavor that moves to a dry finish.

Delicious and refreshing, our Kölsch recreates the classic pale gold colored beer of Cologne complete with soft maltiness, subtle hop bitterness and a smooth, crisp finish. Perfect for those that like a subtly flavored beer.

Smooth creamy tan head tops a beautiful dark ruby/brown beer. Aroma of chocolate, coffee, and plums, with toasted grains. Balanced with bitterness from noble hops and roasted grains.

At Heavy Seas, we brew a traditional English-style pale ale with our own East Coast twist: UK Fuggles and Goldings dominate the flavor of Powder Monkey, but has subtle notes of citrus and flower from Cascade hops added in the boil and hopback. Brass in color, Powder Monkey, like all of our beers, is well balanced: distinct bitterness and a slight malt sweetness characterize the taste. In 2010, it won a bronze medal at the World Beer Cup; in 2008, it won a silver medal at the Great American Beer Festival.

The Power of Zeus. An American pale ale as well balanced as our round little friend. We use Zeus hops from our field that are carefully guarded by Zeus the Toad--a loveable fellow who greeted us when we planted the first Zeus. We dug the hole, and out he hopped--giving new meaning to the phrase "hoppy beer!" So raise a glass to the power of Zeus!

Blackish brown in color. Rich and Smooth. Made with a hint of Caramel, Roasted and Chocolate malt. Bittered with Nugget then finished with Cascade hops.

Sweet malt is paired with a grapefruit-like hop flavor in this refreshing pale ale. If you are new to craft beer, this is an excellent place to start.

Belgian Ales represent the height of the brewers' art. Our Belgian Style White Ale. Light-bodied and crisp with plenty of taste and complexity! Cloudy in appearance and finely carbonated, it utilizes yeast specially produced for wheat beers to provide the spice and subtle banana flavors typical for this style. Incorporated in the brewing process are sweet orange peel, generous amounts of coriander, chamomile, and a hint of hops. Don’t be fooled by this 6% abv’s easy-drinking character.
