Roman Pils

Don’t ever call a Roman Pils just another Pilsner beer. Because this mild and pleasant thirst-quencher has a fruity nose. The mildly malty attack transitions into a slightly bitter finish. We have been brewing this beer in our coppers since 1945.

Blonde

Blonde pairs the spice and depth of Old World hops with fresh, citrusy notes from the New World, rounded out with subtle maltiness and bright acidity. The hop flavor and aroma are unmistakable, but silky smooth and with a clean, crisp finish. Blonde is always drinkable, yet remarkably complex. This is the perfect beer for an afternoon session, or pair it up with bold flavors like spicy Thai or smoky BBQ.

Boba's Galactic Trip

This blended Sour Ale is made up of our sour base, Boba Brett, and a newly brewed Berliner Weiss, which has a very low ABV and a lot of lactic tartness. It’s also unique because we used local NC triticale, a hybrid of wheat and rye malt!

MOAB (Mother Of All Bettys)

This Monster Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Stout takes ‘Betty’ to a whole new level. We’ve used twice as much grain and double mashed it, so this beer gets all of its stickiness, sweetness and alcohol from the malt, and not any extra sugar additions. We then we add an aggressive amount of Warrior hops to balance the sweetness of all that malt! Finally, we aged this beer for 6 months in a careful blend of 4 different American Craft Bourbon barrels.

Native Son IPA

Jason used Magnum and Spalter in the boil but then added further additions of Callista into the whirlpool and then again at the dry-hop stage. Callista is a relatively new addition to the brewers’ arsenal, giving both a classically noble hop aroma and a welcoming flavour of citrus peel and juicy stonefruit. With the quintessential pilsner malt base and German lager yeast, his Pils is a revelation and rounds out at 6.0% ABV – it is going to be quite amazing on draft!

Beatnik Brewing Collective: Blonde Export Stout

Our Equity Punk gypsy brewery - Beatnik Brewing Collective - voted for this recipe as their 2017 annual brew. A blonde stout brewed to export strength, the stout character comes from extra ingredients instead of dark malts. Cacao, coffee and vanilla all play a role alongside oats and smoked malt to give depth and complexity. Full bodied, with notes of roast coffee, chocolate and vanilla. Hints of smoke and pops of citrus and red berry round out the 7% ABV and support the cacao and coffee character.
