Re-Mash

In May 2011 the world’s largest collaborative brew was released. The intention was to create a New Zealand beer that drew from all of the influences that made the New Zealand craft beer scene what it is. The brewers that inspired the recipe were then offered a chance to brew this beer themselves, reimagining the recipe as they went. This beer is the result of a collaboration between Fraser and Hayden at Ad Lib, Ally at Golden Ticket and Nathan a local brewer. This beer is lightly golden, and pours with a creamy white head. Fresh summer fruits with a marmalade mix float to the nose, accompanied by some light toffee sweetness. A fruit bowl will mix in your mouth, blending well with the light body, leaving you with palate cleansing bitterness. Best drunk in summer while tending to a BBQ or spinning a yarn with friends.

Really Cool Waterslides

Remember the first time you went left when logic and everyone else told you to go right? When you looked down the road that would safely take you to exactly the same place it always did, and you chose another path? That’s what Really Cool Waterslides is all about: choosing a dream. Looking uncertainty in the eye and whispering menacingly, “Let’s dance.” Once the decision was made to open the brewery, we knew there could be no more appropriate a name for our founding beer than Really Cool Waterslides. We also knew that it had to be worthy of the name. Its smooth malt profile lets the hops do the talking. We combined four hop varieties over a ninety minute boil in six separate additions It’s complex and intricate, yet completely accessible - a labor of love to be shared with the world. It confirmed what we already knew - that it’s always better to forgo fame, fortune, and stability in pursuit of some Really Cool Waterslides.

Rebel Kent the First

Second cousin to the Earl of Sandwich, these two loved trying to one-up each other with their unconventional combinations. While the Earl is best known for combining meat and bread, Kent thankfully went another direction and created a unique amber ale. True to his name, Kent took a Belgian Abbey Single, upped the ABV and added some rye malt to create an amber ale unlike any that came before it. As you take a sip, the Belgian yeast and rye malt dance on your tongue. The sweetness of the Belgian yeast hits first, but is quickly balanced against the forward flavors of the rye malt. As you swallow, you are left with a clean palate, ready to experience it all over again.

Red Ale

The mission: create a red ale in the same vein as the best red ales available on the market…but better. Sure, no problem. Named for the wife of one of our founders (she’s the one who requested it), the “Red Headed Haley” is our interpretation of an American amber ale. Brewed with multiple malts and hops, we worked to bridge the gap between a Belgian and American amber. The result was an immensely drinkable beer with notes of both styles and new flavors unfamiliar to both (we may have discovered quarks, anyone know what one tastes like?). This has had the benefit of bottle conditioning and aging which has, almost surprisingly, only improved it. We can’t wait for you to taste it.

Red Alt

Our take on a German style alt bier. Alt designates “old” which means an ale brewed and aged for extended conditioning to take on characteristics of a lager. Our take on alt bier is to amp up the hop profile to help celebrate the eastern Washington hop growing area and the impact on the world brewing community. Keeping the malt profile sweet makes this one work. This was a GABF Gold medal winner in 2014. Can we repeat? We sure hope so! The hops include Tettnanger and Pearle.

Not your average amber ale. A big malt beer balanced with a hefty hop bitterness. The red color and strong malt flavor comes from dark Munich and Caramel Munich malts. Red Clay IPA

Red Clay IPA is an aggressive American style India Pale Ale. This ale is brewed with seven different types of malt to give it a strong and complex malt flavor and a color reminiscent of the red soil prominent in Franklin County, Virginia and much of the southeast. We also employ a large charge of hops to give this formidable beer a highly pungent spicy, floral and citrusy aroma and flavor. Red Clay IPA ends up being a complex yet highly-enjoyable and drinkable ale.
