Prisoner’s Dilemma Aussie-Style Colonial Mild Ale with Herbs This herbal beer was inspired by the story of James Squire, a British convict banished to Australia in the 18th century. He was later caught stealing horehound and pepper from a local pharmacy to use in his homebrew, which he sold to people around town, including the local authorities. Instead of execution they sentenced him to 150 lash of the whip. After his sentence was up he became a successful businessman and was celebrated for first cultivating hops in Australia. Prisoner's Dilemma is brewed with horehound for (a sharp and menthol- like) bittering as well as coriander, grains of paradise, and costmary (another historically significant herb that is nearly impossible to source so Dave grew some in the back of the brewery). The name Prisoner's Dilemma is based on a concept in game theory but economic theory is beyond the scope of this webpage. Availability: Fall ABV: 5.4% | IBU: What's IBUs? This week’s NoDable is being brewed in collaboration with a very fun event! This Saturday, October 18th, is the Charlotte Unity Festival, taking place here at NoDa Brewing! Queen City Unite is a mango IPA, and when we say “mango”, we mean it! There is one pound of mango per gallon in this IPA!

Paradox aged in Absinthe cask. Spicy star anise dominates the aroma with roasty dark chocolate and coffee flavours. Released for Brewdog's 2017 AGM in Aberdeen, Scotland and made an appearance at the Beavertown Extravaganza 2017. The barrel number has been confirmed with BrewDog as 1770.

Who doesn’t like double dry-hopping? Especially when you’re using a newfangled hop variety known for a pure and easy combination of rich stone fruit and dank? It’s 5:15 somewhere.

VIENNA LAGER ABV 5.1%IBU 27EBC 8-12CO2 5.4 g/L Mozart played full-volume in the brewhouse as the Dovetail Vienna Lager was born. Copper in color, with a warm, malty character, it is brewed with 100% Vienna malt and Styrian Golding hops. May it make you grow a feather in your Alpine hat.

Our first west-coast IPA named after Yankton's West Side Park.

Brewed with Pilsner Wheat, Spelt, and light caramel malts. Hopped with Citra, Centennial, and Columbus. Conditioned atop New Jersey Pine Barren needles harvested locally. This IPA will be very pine focused with mild fruitiness. A modern interpretation to a West Coast IPA.

Brewed with Pilsner, Caramel 50, Rye, and Flaked Oats. Hopped with Amarillo and Centennial. Moderate Bitterness, Orange hue, Slight spiciness from Rye, balanced between piney and fruity. Scottish Ale yeast. Moderately clear.

A semi sweet cider infused with Wisconsin cranberries and cacao, lending a pleasant tartnessand subtle chocolate notes

Java pale ale brewed with Wheat & Munich Malt and fruity American & New Zealand hops. Cold brew coffee from Willoughby's Roasters using Ethiopian Yirg-Z coffee. This combination gives a uniquely smooth, berry-like coffee flavor!

Brewed in collaboration with our great friend and former colleague, Anders Kissmeyer. Anders personally smoked the malts over Beech wood. A robust, malty smoked brown ale.

Brewed with Pilsner Malt, Red Wheat, and White Wheat. Hopped lightly with hallertau. Heaps of Hudson Valley Honey are added to the whirlpool.

Brewed with pilsner malt, malted and flaked oats as well lactose sugar. Light bitterness but hopped heavy handedly with Mosaic and conditioned atop New Jersey Blueberries and light cinnamon.
