Our latest special release is inspired by our World Beer Cup winning gose Salty Kiss but with a sour and tropical twist. The beer has added Passion Fruit, Mango, Lime and Lemon and as with Salty Kiss, we dosed with salt to taste as is traditional in a gose. The resulting beer is juicy and refreshing with a nice rounded drinkability. If you imagine a tropical fruit punch crossed with a lemonade/ginger beer you wouldn’t be far off. Hopefully it should be just what’s needed to combat the miserable winter weather.

In the summer of 1972, Miami's own football team began a campaign of perfection that no other organization had ever achieved - or has ever matched. This beer is made in honor of that achievement. For our next few anniversary releases, we’re celebrating the beer mecca of Flanders, Belgium with a little east vs. west showdown. First off is an Oud Bruin (tr. Old Brown), which represents the style from the region of East Flanders. As the name indicates, this is an old style brown ale that uses a blend of microflora: bacteria such as acetobacter, lactobacillus and pediococcus; yeasts such as cultured saccharomyces yeast and brettanomyces wild yeasts to give the beer a specific sourness and funky aroma. We then aged it in American Oak foeders on top of cherries to give it a nice fruity punch that we know you’ll love.

At Royal Docks, we simply adore intellectually challenging brews that beckon one to explore their depths and parse each nuanced sip, but this ain't one of those beers. See, there's thinkin' beer and there's drinkin' beer - and Backyard Crusher is a drinkin' beer. Sure, we could tell you all about the Egyptian black lime, Mediterranean sea-salt and Citra hops that make this tangy golden quencher so easy on the tongue, but that would defeat the purpose.

Cheeky Otter is a sour double ipa that was kettle soured with lactobacillus before massive amounts of hops were added late in the kettle. It was brewed and double dry hopped with Galaxy, Mosaic, and Nelson Sauvin hops for a bright, very fruity beer with just the right amount of sour.

Someone once said that brewing an IPA with fruit was a crime. Well, call the cops. An obscene amount of passionfruit coupled with about an acre of Citra and Simcoe hops produces an IPA loaded with juicy, peachy-passion flavour and aromatics that are simply steaming with tropical hop character.

A double mashed Mexican Mole inspired Imperial Stout brewed in collaboration with our friends from De Molen. Oats, malts, barley and toasted pumpkin seeds were used in the mash to give a complex base of flavours. We then used a blend of Chipotle, Ancho, Mulato and Pasilla chilies to give a nice fruity acidity along with a delicate touch of heat. True to the Mole recipe, we also added cacao nibs, coriander seed, cinnamon sticks and a little cumin, giving depth and different layers of flavour, that develop as the beer warms. Smoky, chocolatey and roasty on the nose, with a great complexity of tastes.

American Wild Ale with Raspberries

We took our flagship Karate in the Garage and cranked up the grain bill. This Double IPA pours a hazy orange color and offers intense citrus and grapefruit notes resulting from significant dry hopping of mosaic lupulin powder.

Inspired by the American IPA’s of the pre-Prohibition era and made with ingredients and techniques common to those long-ago brews, Leatherhead IPA is brewed only a few miles from the field where pro football was first played in Canton, Ohio. It is a stiff reminder of what it meant to be a Gridiron Ace – leather clad & iron-willed; playing for the love of the game ad drinking beer with backbone.
