Brewed to the American standard of a classic lager, this light golden beer is our mildest offering with a creamy, smooth taste. Mild, crisp and minimal bitterness.

Our incredibly aromatic session ale is filled with all the flavor sought after in an IPA. This pale ale carries a pleasing hop aroma and is just bitter enough, but not too much. Why not warm up to the old sow? She just may become your new favorite!

Sometimes it’s hard to look on the bright side of life, but The Optimist will keep your spirits aloft. Simplicity being the ultimate in sophistication, we use a very concise recipe in this India Pale Ale to showcase the providential union of barley and hops. With its radiant golden body, a lively buoyant head and auspicious floral aroma your glass will always be half-full while drinking The Optimist.

The proud piper leads off with an upfront bitter delight. Followed with a stampede of malt flavor and then marched to the finish with a floral and aromatic ending at 55 IBUs and 7.3% alc.

The Anspach & Hobday lead beer. The Porter (6.7%) is Rich, Dark & Roasted. This is the beer that got us where we are today. Brewed to the same recipe as the first time it was home-brewed in 2011. It won Silver at the International Beer Challenge 2013 as home-brew and then Gold in 2014 as commercial brew. A true beer of London! Cheers!

The Publican is a hoppy ale that is highly aromatic, and finishes crisp and dry. Its subdued malt-profile and lower alcohol provide a showcase for the aromas and flavors of myriad citrusy American hops. Brewed in honor of brewing contemporary and proprietor of O’Brien’s Pub, Tom Nickel, it’s a beer you can enjoy glass after glass of.

The Pupil is a smooth, medium-bodied, pleasantly dry IPA with forward aromas and flavor evocative of tropical fruit. Notes of guava and mango are most commonly detected by connoisseurs of this gently bittered beer, a crowd-favorite and one of our flagship hoppy creations since day one.

The Raven is a German-style beer, that's not too light nor too heavy. The Raven Special Lager is a perfect balanced lager beer that goes well with any kind of food, but particularly with spicy food or when you just want to sit down and enjoy a beer with friends. With a shot of Woodford Reserve chased with chilled Raven is a near perfect combination. The rich golden colored beer is an exceptionally smooth Southern German lager, somewhat malty but well balanced between the hops and malt. Experiencing the clean finish and pleasant lingering aftertaste of The Raven Special Lager, one can truly say that The Taste Is Poetic.

The Red #7 – A classic Red Ale that sports a deep rich red color. Malt and a touch of hops in the aroma. A pleasant malt base with a medium bitterness makes this a smooth drinkable beer. Brewed with British malts and hopped with a blend of Perle, Cascade and Willamette. Lightly dry-hopped with Goldings. 5% alc.

This American Style Wheat Beer is designed to keep you flying longer with it's lower ABV. A light hoppy bitterness cuts through this unfiltered cloudy, straw-colored beer created with the use of American Hefewiezien yeast. We proudly salute our hometown Maine Air National Guard with this refreshing wheat beer.

The Reverend, was created in tribute to the life of our friend Tom Boogaard’s grandfather, an ordained Episcopal Reverend. Tom was inspired by the life of his grandfather and wanted to create a tribute beer that contained his sterling traits. True to the spirit and character of the departed Reverend, this beer is strong willed, assertive, and pure of heart. Our brewers included as many authentic imported Belgian specialty malts as they could, making this the perfect beer for folks who love malty beers and are ready to take the next step. A divinely complex and beautifully layered beer with hints of dark cherries, currants, and molasses, complimented by an underlying spiciness. Sinfully smooth considering the high alcohol content. The Reverend is the second installment of “The Holy Trinity of Ales” series.

The beer that has nothing to prove. While everyone's making another IPA variant, we wanted to make a dry, hoppy, aromatic beer that shows some restraint and artistry in a style that craft beer seems to be forgetting.

Strong spicy rye nose, dry hoppy bitterness throughout, smooth slightly bitter finish, lingering rye spice notes.

The Saucony Sessions is a hoppy pale ale brewed with Cascade and Centennial Hops. Post fermentation the ale is filtered over fresh grapefruit and juniper berries. The combination of hops and citrus flavors from the grapefruit makes for a brilliantly refreshing pale ale that is very sessionable at only 4% ABV.

The recipe for the Session Gap uses just a few specialty malts to create a rounded grain profile. The hops are common English varieties for that floral, wood, and earth character that is the cornerstone of the bitter style. Just enough hops to peak over the hedge of malt.

What we call a Pacific Northwest Ale (PNWA), this beer, reminiscent of an American IPA, is designed BIG. With a strong malt profile and massive hop presence, this beer is an explosion of flavor!

Slightly sweet fruity nose, hints of grass and coriander, smooth underlying bitterness, clean dry finish, smooth lingering citrus notes.

The Taste of Manchester or Saku Manchester for short is a classic slightly sweet light red beer brewed following the finest traditions of English brewmasters. In England this beer is called ale and every respectable traditional English pub has this type of mild red beer at the top of their beer menu. Saku Manchester gets its English accent from light and caramel malt and aromatic hops that together make the beer sweeter and give it its red colour. Characteristic to English ale, Saku Manchester has a low carbon dioxide level.

The Belgian Tripel is one of our favorite styles and consequently this is one of our favorite beers that we make. Inspired by Westamalle Brewery our tripel is a very complex beer owing most of the complexity to the yeast strain that we use.

This is an unshored ale. Wild and Remote; there's a beer where the sea used to be. I believe there will be many takers for this tide. It begins with a soft and spicy floral nose. The brett notes are measured and reverberate around the lemon-cream-pie hops like ripples around a buoy in a beam sea. Wood notes drift and float by and bring a bit of vanilla toward the end but mostly the wood does the important work of softening the heat of a multi-phase fermentation that is three fathoms deep. Putting a snifter of this beer up to your lips is like putting a conch shell up to your ear. Living right up against the Atlantic Ocean here in Delaware nothing says welcome home to me so much as the rhythmic crashing of an incoming surf on land and I get that familiar feeling while drinking The Tide and Its Takers. Like a powerful ocean you cannot take this beer for granted. It's complex, it has a lunar-pull that makes you reflexively go for the next sip, and it puts you in the right mood to appreciate life and nature's bounty. To paraphrase folk-punk Michelle Shocked, You know you're in the largest state of mind in the union when you're anchored down in Anchorage.
