Rich and smooth, our award-winning brown porter features the flavor of chocolate and caramel.

Total Eclipse is our take on a rye porter, made specifically to highlight a specialty chocolate rye made by Valley Malt in Hadley, MA. Suprisingly this grain is not made or infused with chocolate. Basic rye is malted and then kilned at a specific temperature to create chocolate flavors. German Carafa malt is also used to create an intense dark color while keeping out astringencies caused by grain husks. Lastly, lactose sugar is added to give the beer a creamy mouthfeel. Willamette hops are added in moderation to keep bitterness low (22 IBU's). Total Eclipse clocks in at an even six percent alcohol by volume and is made with seventy percent local grain.

A totem is an entity that watches over and represents a clan or tribe. Totem pale represents us well with its citrus hop flavor. The Totem Pale is built on a firm foundation of ESB and crystal malts with generous citrus hop additions. We believe that you will also want to make the Black Raven your totem. Brewed in collaboration with our favorite Fox Island musical trio The Toughcats, this single hop Palisade IPA is a smooth operator. Originally created for the 2011 Belfast Harborfest, popularity deemed another batch be made. Light and way too easy to drink, the apricot and peach attributes of the hop shine through in this delicious beer.

With remnants of an old railroad directly next to our brewery, we found it fitting to brew a beer which pays tribute to those who traveled the rails. Hopped five times with Citra Hops, this Pale Ale delivers a robust aroma with hints of melon, grapefruit and passion fruit. The clean finish of this ale makes it a fitting session beer for whichever trail you choose to travel.

Trailhead Pale is an American Pale Ale showcasing flavors unique to ingredients indigenous to America (hops, malt, yeast, and water). Refreshing, hoppy and pale golden in color the pale ale has bready,toasty, and biscuit maly flavors supporting a fresh citrusy American ho character. At 5.6% alcohol it is a perennial favorite style amoung craft beer drinkers who have enjoyed a strong unique flavor and fresh chacter that is much different than the pilsner and light lagers offered by the large brewing companies.

This rotating series of low alcohol, full flavored beers draws inspiration from forgotten styles, new ingredients, and our house creativity. On special in the Tap Room when the train goes by.

One person’s traitor is another person’s hero, and this IPA just might be yours. Part West Coast IPA, part not, Traitor rebels against style definitions. We let our hop lovin’ wishes come true, with lots and lots and lots of Citra, Centennial, Cascade and Galaxy hops added throughout the brewing process, including dry-hopping, to give distinct hop flavor and waves of aroma. Oh, and we go a little Benedict Arnold by using US Pale Malt with British yeast to give Traitor a smooth, dry finish. Go ahead….Betray Your IPA.

Like a stamp on a tramp, this beer is about not so subtle seduction. Soft but complex malts, Chambly yeast, sweet orange peel, Columbus, Amarillo, and Centennial hops have merged to create a bodacious Belgian IPA.

Kölsch is a good beer for mass produced lager drinkers to have when making the switch to craft beer. Thus, you provide the activation energy and let this Kölsch be your transition state as you change from beer drinker to craft beer drinker. Or maybe you already love craft beer and just want something lighter. This Kölsch is a delicate, light golden beer that has a slight fruity aroma and flavor. We use a traditional ale yeast and ferment at a relatively low temperature for an ale yeast so we can keep the fruity ester production at just the right level. The noble hop aroma, flavor, and bitterness are almost completely absent, just as it should be. This is an excellent beer to enjoy anytime you want something light but don’t want to compromise and drink

Considered the rarest beer in the world, "Westy 12" is brewed by Saint Sixtus Abbey (Sint Sixtus Abdij) in northwest Belgium; one of the seven Trappist monasteries producing beer. It has an ABV of 10.2% and uses the Westmalle yeast strain but all other details are speculation and the recipe is tightly guarded. The date stamped on the cap is a "Best After" date approximately three year after the day of production. The yellow cap is the only identifying mark of this beer as there is no label and they use three different bottles in production: plain, "Trappisten," and "Westmalle." The beer is not distributed anywhere in the world. The only way to acquire it is to visit the monastery. Young bottles tend to be rather boozy, yet, the alcohol is never hot or harsh. Dried, dark fruit esters come through in the nose and taste and are accompanied by intense melanoidins. The characterful Westmalle yeast contributes to a doughy aroma, low bubble gum esters (think Juicy Fruit) and a hint of black licorice. A very complex beer which improves with age.

The American pale ale is characterized by a very assertive bitterness. Traveler’s Pale Ale is dead smack in the middle of that assertiveness. It is made from 2 Row Brewer’s Malt, Caramel malt and Car-Pils malt. The big hop presence comes from Magnum and Amarillo hops.

Living up to its roots, this full-bodied American classic boasts the perfect balance of naughty and nice. Crystal and Munich malts bring a caramel sweetness to the brew. Yet just when you think you’ve satisfied your sweet tooth, the organic German hops produce an unmistakable dry finish. Take that, taste buds! With a toffee aroma and deep amber color, the Tree Hugger Amber looks innocent enough… but tastes sinfully delicious!

Pale golden straw color, very crisp, refreshing with a smooth finish. Northwest style made with pale malt and a hint of caramel malt, cascade hops for bittering, and Mt. Hood hos for aroma.
