Hidden away in the barrel cache of the Taxman Reserve cellar, our barrel-fermented golden blonde ale lies in wait, collecting fruit as it comes into season. A combination of bacteria, wild yeast and time produced a bright, dry and tart ale ripe for blending. Overflowing with blackberry aromas and tart fruit notes, this crimson sour ale is one to store away or enjoy today.

Let’s be honest Red IPA’s are all the rage at the moment and while we like to think of ourselves as immune to peer pressure we really like them… So we decided to whip one up. We did try to keep our independence though. We have taken the malt base (more or less) from our Redneck Ale then bittered and hopped the heck out of it! Only we’ve used some really unique new hops which has created a surprisingly mellow but prominent hop profile. You’ll get hints of mango and citrus with a strong malt backbone. It’s a unique and very drinkable beer. So what do you get when you cross our redneck ale with an IPA and Americanise it with a heap of hops… Can anyone else hear banjo’s playing?

A cunning combination that delivers the best of both worlds. This Dry Hopped Red Ale delivers a bold backbone of toffee and caramel fused with tropical fruit. Presented in a deep red hue with a lasting luscious head, it's a foxy wee number.

The second fresh hop beer we have made this year is a dark IPA, which mixes a subtle chocolaty dark malt character with big citrussy and tropical hop aroma and flavour. With even more fresh hop cones than the white IPA, this beer is resinous and full on the palate but still balances the hop character with bitterness and light roast from the dark malt used, plus a relatively dry finish. The Taiheke hop also added to this beer reinforces the citrussy notes from Nelson Sauvin and amplifies them with an overt sweet orange aroma and flavour. Get in and try both while you can and pick your favourite!

We've crammed so much Galaxy and Citra hops into this juicy American IPA that it's ready to blast off with succulent tropical fruit and citrus notes. This is a radical, crisp, clean, and light bodied brew that will blow you into the next Galaxy!

Featuring aromas of passionfruit and mango from 100 percent Galaxy hops from Australia, plus notes of toast and bread from US, UK and Argentinian malts, Summit Golden Fruited is balanced by a hint of fresh peach and apricot. Strong hop character with Motueka Sauvin hops infused through a hop back. Taste and aroma – assertive bitterness and a strong malt character with roasted crystal ale malts.

Imperial Nibs is a delicious dark imperial porter made with cacao nibs, toasted coconut, and vanilla pods. Imperial Nibs is bursting with intense chewy flavours of bitter chocolate, wood-fired toasted coconut, burnt toffee and mellow maltiness.

The "I" might be in lower case, but beware - this is a capital beer. Brimming with luscious roasted coffee and chocolate malt flavours, iStout is balanced by a brisk bitterness and bold hoppy freshness. As with all our beers, this beer is a very modern interpretation of this classic style.

Hazy oat India Pale Ale. Citra, Mosaic and Vic Secret give this beer a bright, tropical profile with a lingering juicy fruitiness.

We took our Russian Imperial Stout and supersized it by ageing in ex-whisky barrels for three months. Vanilla and oak character on the nose, along with a sizeable measure of whisky. Dark fruit, tobacco and leather round out the aroma. Molasses and roast malt flavours.

Nelson Sauvin and Motueka hops combine beautifully in this New Zealand Pilsner. Clear and light in appearance with a citrus, grassy aroma. The immediately noticeable flavour is punchy, zesty, clean and fresh with a dry finish.

A fresh hop pale ale made with 100% Nelson Sauvin. First produced after the 2016 harvest. We wrote this recipe accentuating the fresh hop character by attenuating the beer fully. Fresh, aromatic and drinkable is what Pulling Cones is all about.

This American IPA will sit around 6.2% ABV, a crushable hop-forward India Pale Ale with attitude that showcases a floral and citrusy hop character with just the right amount of malt sweetness. Röad Crew beer is perfect for all rock, beer and hop heads and goes down especially well whilst listening to Motörhead at a wonderfully obscene, lawn-killing volume. Röad Crew will be available in bottles, cans, keg and even cask.

Like his legendary counterpart on the tuckerbox, Rusty the Jack Russell terrier waited eagerly to greet visitors to Borambola Homestead. His passing meant his pudgy, city slicker brother, Scruffy, now stands guard in his place.

Brewed traditionally with white wheat and oats, we then infused this pale, Wit-beer with English cucumbers. Featuring mild wheat, Belgian yeast and cucumber character this ale drinks as refreshing as spring rain. We recommend a few slices of cucumbers over the eyes while sipping!
