The only problem with our IPAs is keeping them in stock. To fulfill the desire for Breakside outside of Oregon, we crafted an IPA simply for export. Wanderlust is modeled after the India Golden Ale, a double IPA our very own Jacob Leonard brewed in collaboration with Ninkasi in 2013. It’s bright golden in color and has intense juicy notes of tropical and grapefruit. We use five pungent hops in this beer and keep the malt profile as light as possible so that the interplay of hop flavors can really shine. Whether you find Wanderlust in Portland or elsewhere, we’re stoked to share with you this new take on the Northwest IPA. A golden IPA loaded with hop flavor.

Brewed in the classic scotch ale style of the 1700's, with a deep reddish-brown color. Full of body, sweetness & flavor, with a smooth, lightly hopped finish. Serve at 45°F in a room temperature pint glass. For the 'Big Beer' drinkers among us.

This highly controverisal beer is actually a straight-forward, well-balanced, malty amber ale. Tettnanager hops provide a subtle spicy character, which balances out this well-rounded and highly drinkable amber ale. Very dark brown/black in color with and aroma of chocolate and malt and flavors of caramel, sweet chocolate and a touch roasted barley.

Inspired by the Berlin beers Napolean dubbed “The Champagne of the North” in 1809. Light, refreshing and highly effervescent, our ‘linerWeiss adds lemongrass and kaffir lime to balance the tartness of our house Lactobacillus culture.

An unfiltered German-style wheat beer with the traditional banana and clove flavors and aromas derived from the unique Hefe-Weizen yeast strain.

Amber in color, our “leichte weisse” is a subtle German style wheat beer made for sweltering double headers during the Dog Days of summer.

Rich and malty, Double Dee complements our High Esteem with a modest bump of malt presence, alcohol, and residual sweetness. Brewed with an addition of kettle sugar, the flavor is toasty and nutty with a hint of raisins, and is balanced by an herbal hop finish.

Slightly sweet with a roasted malt character, and a noticeable but not overpowering hop character that rounds out this Brown Ale into a very well balanced brew.

A unique wheat beer brewed with a blend of barley, wheat malt, and spices. Fermented with a clean Bavarian lager yeast strain in order to showcase the flavors orange peel, coriander, and juniper berries underneath a soft wheat backbone. There are a bunch of great waves here on the central coast, and we love chasing them down. We also love wrangling in our favorite hops, like the heaps of Amarillo & Citra we use to make this super sessionable IPA. The low alcohol won’t hold you down while hop bursting brings on flavorful bliss.

Wavemaker Amber Ale is perfectly balanced with caramel malt flavors, subtle floral presence and pleasant hop bitterness.

Our American Pale ale is generously hopped with Pacific Northwest Cascade hops. Toasty malt character fades quickly to reveal bright herbaceous hops with a crisp, dry finish.

An American style wheat ale brewed with 50% wheat, Saaz and Hallertauer

She was a girl with a weakness for Rauch beers and he was a brewer in love with his work. This beer is in honor of their wedding. Inspired by the traditional smoked beers from Bamberg, it is amber with red highlights and a strong smoked flavor blending with hints of caramel and dried fruit. “To a summer that won’t come back towards a future of great emotions.” ABV. 5,2% 13°P I created this beer to celebrate my wedding and my bride who has always loved Rauch beers. The city of Bamberg is particularly dear to us. We ventured through its streets, indulged in its well known smoked beers and stood together contemplating the water ripples of the river Regnitz. Being in Tettnang 2 days before the wedding to select the newly harvested hops, I brought back 10 freshly uprooted hop plants to decorate the wedding reception. Instead of the traditional rice tossing, the guests showered us with hop flowers. My weeding suit was garmented by a small hop blossom as well. With more than 200 guests and 450 liters of beer, many remember our celebration as one of the most memorable gatherings they have ever attended. Selling the leftover beer to some clients was such a success that we decided to keep brewing it. It is now part of our beer family!

This Scottish-inspired deep mahogany-colored ale showcases a rich, malty flavor profile of caramel and toffee offset by hints of roast and subtle smoke. The complex malty sweetness includes notes of dark fruit balanced by a subdued hop bitterness. Wee Heavy is incredibly nuanced and in a class of its own in terms of balance and sophistication. It ages very well and will keep improving for years to come.

This staple from the highlands of Scotland is right at home in the mountains of Western North Carolina. Wee Heavy-er is French Broad’s best-selling beer. At 7% ABV, it is meant to be savored. Great with food and friends.

Doff the cap of this complex Scottish Ale with 5.6% ALC/VOL, and in a wink you’ll be hearing Highland bagpipes as you sip this smoky, peaty, bonnie good brew. Aye. That’s the high road, that is.

A dry, refreshing DIPA. Floral grapefruit aroma and flavors with a clean crisp finish. Not extremely bitter, but with a strong hop flavor.
