White Hops is a nod to Georgia’s forgotten brewing history, taking its name from a mysterious and controversial Atlanta malt beverage sold in 1898. No one knows what the original tasted like, so we used and our imaginations and a Belgian yeast strain to concoct a white IPA, brewed with wheat malt, Citra hops, spices and grapefruit peel. Aromatic and intense, this ale is for hop enthusiasts looking to surpass the ordinary.

“White Knuckle Ale” is a Double India Pale Ale. That’s right, twice the malt and twice the hops in one 14 barrel batch. It is named in honor of the exciting bike trail on Mt. Tam. If you’re a “hophead ”, this is ones for you; fat, chewy, resiny, and pungent! Pour into a wide-mouthed glass and get ready to rip!

This Wheat ale is made with a little Voodoo Twist. We use our house Belgian Ale yeast and add the average unmalted wheat, wheat, barley,raw oats, malted rye and just add more of each. Hopped evenly and spiced with coriander, bitter and sweet orange peel, juniper berries, 12 varieties of peppercorns,lemon grass and caraway. About 6.75% alc by vol. Bottle Conditioned and Refermented. NOT A WIT BIER!!! Just stuff we like in beer that goes great with food. This beer is to be the answer to those hot summer days. Blows away carbonated water!!!!!

Peaks was our first IPA released and a tribute to the White Mountains of New Hampshire. This light bodied IPA is crisp with strong hop character.

Our Wit is a refreshing, moderate-strength wheat ale. A harmony of sophisticated flavors from honey, grapefruit, and coriander make this beer one of our favorites. The light spicy, peppery wheat aroma is balanced with a zesty citrus and moderate honey aroma. The beer is orange in color and clearer than a traditional witbier. Light creaminess and a silky mouth-feel from the unmalted wheat gives it a medium body, meanwhile finishing dry and slightly tart. High carbonation gives it a strong effervescence and contributes to its refreshing quality. A low hop profile allows for the other flavors to come through and provides minimal bitterness. Spicy, citrusy and pleasant, this beer will surprise you with its complexity yet drinkability. Rounding out around 6.5% ABV, this American Wit is a stronger version of its low ABV Belgian Witbier relative. Not just a summer beer, our Wit is enjoyable all year round.

Thick dark brown in color, this Imperial Russian Stout is infused with white Russian coffee.

The sky was bright white on the chilly fall day that we first brewed our chai-spiced wheat beer. We’ve come a long way since then, but the gigantic clouds of white steam that billow from the towering blue steel mill at the end of town serve as a reminder of where it all began.

Pouring a deep mahogany, White Street Scottish Ale produces a tight tan head that gives way to a complex maltiness. Herbal and spicy notes play nicely in a caramel essence to produce a beautifully sessionable beer.

The song of the white-throated sparrow is one of the first things we hear in the Spring that lets us know that winter is on the way out. This Belgian-style Wit is brewed using kaffir lime leaves and lemongrass both lending a wonderful tart spin on the traditional Wit style.

This is a full bodied Hefeweizen with a great banana clove nose. It is perfectly balanced for a refreshing beer.

A clean, crisp, golden ale with low hop aroma and bitterness from Galena and Mt. Hood hops. It is brewed with Breiss malt and flaked rice.

This white IPA is characterized by a clean crisp wit melded with a mix of American IPA hops that create a very refreshing, tart beer that is great on a hot summer day.

After 104 years of brewing beer, we’re excited to take on our first Belgian White. Authentic Belgian yeast, along with the addition of coriander and orange peel, blend to deliver the spice, citrus aroma and taste distinctive of a true-to-style Belgian Wheat Ale. Barley and wheat malts, along with Saaz hops, create the right flavor balance, while the light carbonation gives a delightful finish. The result is a slightly sweet and delightfully drinkable witbier, with 4.7% ABV, 20 IBU and a personality all its own.

Unique to the north and feared by man and beast, the WHITEOUT comes without warning. With quiet ferocity, how quickly this force erases the sensations and reduces any creature to its most basic elements. When enveloped in one, sight, sound and even tactile sensation are ripped away, as snowflakes in motion swallow all sense of being, leaving one to cower, hunker down and wait it out, hoping that it passes quickly or that the end is merciful. Of variable and unknown duration minutes seem like eternity in a whiteout. But when it eases, and those final snowflakes drift in the blue sky, any survivor is changed. Suddenly, life is fuller and more robust. The thirst for this new life can be slaked in many ways. Whiteout Wit compliments the experience in both intensity and a rewarding calm. The quiet delicacy of the light malts are like those vanishing flakes. Sorachi Ace hops contribute the lemony aroma and flavor, imparting additional life to the brew, reminding you of how good it is to be alive. Lemon peel, Indian coriander and black peppercorns add the same invigorating zest whiteout survivors feel when stepping from the world of white. Triple fermentation, the long slumber in French Chardonnay barrels and a shot of brettanomyces provide an explosion of flavor when combined with the other swirling, enticing elements. It's okay. Stand up, shake it off and feel alive; that's what Whiteout Wit is all about.
