Our Panamax Porter is reborn with this new coffee porter named The Working Girl. This porter is reminiscent of our Panamax but has now has been brewed with the addition of over 5 lbs of Working Girl coffee beans. The beans were put into both the mash tun and the kettle to create a light coffee aroma and coffee aftertaste in this distinctive porter. With additional hints of chocolate and rye malt, this porter is well-balanced and fantastic at any point in the day.

A tribute to the Southern tradition of an RC Cola and a MoonPie. We brew this beer with biscuity malts, vanilla, and chocolate nibs from Raleigh’s own Escazu Artisan Chocolates. But instead of using a traditional, dry English or Scottish ale yeast, we get zany and brew with a German (Weihenstephan) yeast strain. This lightens up the beer and adds vanilla and banana notes to give it that MoonPie connection. The result is a drinkable “dark ale” that, like most of our plow-to-pint beers, doesn’t fit neatly into any one particular style. Have your three martinis, Boss Man. We’ll take a Working Man’s Lunch.

Real Raspberry Ale You will not find any preservatives in this thirst quenching ale. But additives? That's a different story, as each brew of Wild Rose WRaspberry Ale is infused with thousands of natural, juicy-red additives called raspberries.

A wonderfully hoppy red rye ale – massively hopped and bursting with flavor.

A lighter bodied pale ale, this EPA is aggressively dry hopped to showcase fresh hop flavors and aromas.

Wynwood IPA has a nice, citrusy hop aroma and bitterness that is balanced with a slight caramel sweetness. We dry hop this beer, meaning we toss more hops in the vat once it has finished fermenting to give it its unforgettable aroma. This beer is an IPA drinkers IPA. We use purely American Hops and premium two-row barley with British Crystal Malts to help balance out this hop forward beer. The Wynwood IPA goes excellent with a burger, sharp cheeses and spicy foods. Serve this beer in a nonick pint glass.

This refreshing, light-golden Extra Pale Ale embodies drinkability. AleSmith X pushes the limits by offering a level of flavor not often found in this classic style. Fresh American hops are abundant but carefully balanced by a light, crisp body and smooth bitterness. Notes of citrus and pine combine with a delicate malt sweetness to create a flavorful drinking experience.

XB is a rare delight, a real ale connoisseur’s masterpiece. A strong full-bodied ale with a subtle but superb blend of two types of bitter and three fruit hop varieties giving a most thirst quenching and satisfying ale. XB was first brewed in 1982 to celebrate the purchase of the Carlisle Brewery by Theakstons a few years before. Brewed always and ever in Masham, XB was designed as a tribute to the classic ‘border’ style of beer, strong in gravity, low but complex hop. It was an instant sucess and has remained so, winning over real ale devotees all over the UK. Always in the shadow of its more famous stable–mate, Old Peculier, XB has quietly established itself as favourite among serious cask ale enthusiasts. Its name came not from some clever marketing expert but rather based on the more prosaic features of the Masham brewery. In the days when the only way to distinguish the contents from one cask to the next was by use of one of only two wooden stamps dipped in white wash and applied to each cask, the only letters available were either an X or a B. We could have called in BX but we preferred XB! The full-bodied nature of XB makes it the perfect accompaniment to big, full, flavoured dishes such as sausages, meat or game pies, stews etc.

An extra pale and extra hoppy pale ale. Dry-hopped and unfiltered.

Our lightest-bodied beer is a bright straw color. A fresh lemon accent adds an extra refreshing flavor. Available April through September.

This Belgian style wheat ale is a light-bodied, crisp, slightly tart and lightly hopped golden beer with a fine-bubbled bright white head.

Our Half-life German Weissbier, with added pomegranate extracts provides a balance between the hints of bananas and cloves. Just like our Half-life the Yankee Girl is unfiltered for the yeast cloudiness you expect from this style.

Now that we are two years old we decided our IPA needed an update. Take the Year One IPA and make it better and you have the Year Two IPA. People ask us "What does Year Two mean?" To that we answer, "What doesn't it mean?"
