The first in our Wild & Scenic Specialty Series – a bold, full-bodied ale equally as intense as the climbing rock it’s named after.

Long ago in 2001, we had a eureka moment. We’re miles away down here, so why copy their beers? Using all local hops from the Motueka area, we perfected this 100% NZ Pilsner. Crisp, firm bodied with notes of citrus, it spawned a whole new style of beer, now proudly sent offshore to faraway places like Europe. Mot Eureka was originally named Tuatara Bohemian Pilsner. When this beer style was introduced to New Zealand most beer lovers didn't know what a Pilsner was or where it originated, so it was best to tell it to them straight. How times have changed! New Zealanders now arguabley have one of the most sophisticated beer palates in the world. We are also making some of the best beer and are proud to celebrate our Kiwi flavours and ingredients. Mot Eureka is now aptly named to do just that. We hope you continue to enjoy this brew, as always.

In our Altenauer springbok, hop-aromatic freshness is combined with a touch of malty sweetness. Aromamalts give it its reddish color and sweetness, which spreads pleasantly on the tongue. The finest aroma pots provide a harmonious citrus freshness in the antrunk. These exquisite ingredients make the Altenauer Springbok a unique Harz beer specialty.

Oh, Fantastic Then! is familiar and foreign all at the same time. Pouring a translucent pale orange gold, the prominent foam presents big fruit aromas of strawberry, kiwi, mango, and orange. This complex opening aptly prepares you for the palate of earthy, funky cantaloupe, bitter orange pith, subtle cherry, strawberry, kiwi, and a light grassiness. The initial hop impact presents aggressively with many layers, however immediately the beer reminds you it is a soft, medium bodied pale ale, with a clean finish that begs for another sip. The South African hop in this beer, Southern Passion, truly offers a new type of hop profile that keeps unfolding in the glass and definitely keeps you coming back for more.” Cheers and happy drinking!

Crisp, light, with a sweetness brought in by the Texas-sourced blue corn, this beer is perfect for daily drinking and taking to your favorite summer body of water.

A delicious roasty robust porter that is so drinkable you can enjoy it even in the heat of a Texas summer. Marlinspike has a rich mouth feel without being heavy and a pleasant bitterness from a combination of English hop varietals and Black Patent malt.

Fruition starts with our award-winning witbier base and then takes a turn for the tropical during fermentation. Mango, kiwi, and passion fruit juices are added during fermentation, and then the beer is dry-hopped with citra and cascade. The resulting beer refreshing, and incredibly crushable.

Fermented with dates and figs, this smooth barleywine has a unique flavor. The concept for this beer came from an old cellerman's manual Sam came across (for more on that, check out the video below). At about 15% ABV, this beer is a great candidate for aging. Over time, the beer dries out and the pit fruit flavors come forward and the hops recede. Our recommendation? Grab a few bottles when you find it -- enjoy one now, and age the others for a bit. Let us know which you prefer!

Dry-hopped, easy drinking sour with Galaxy.

A seemingly magical reaction between a specialized yeast strain, oats, wheat, and an experimental hop variety results in a blossom of wondrous, tropical fruit flavor that is a feast for the eyes as well as the palate, with a silky-smooth texture and a remarkably clean finish.

Big nose full of canteloupe, pine, and citrus. Flavor is loaded with dried fruit and hop resin, with notes of black pepper and mint. A huge, intense double IPA that remains dangerously balanced and drinkable.

Filou is a rascal that you take lightly at your peril. Introduced in 2014, this young member of the Van Honsebrouck family packs a grown up punch. Filou will surprise you with its naughty character, but is calling it a rascal or a scamp a little disrespectful? In fact, the name is a nod and a wink to both the drinker and the beer: Filou goes down so easily that you’ll be asking for a refill before long. What about the drinker? Is he or she a rascal who can’t resist Filou’s temptations? Not many people will leave it at just the one glass, which poses the question: who is the biggest filou of the two? Filou is brewed with Belgian and Czech aromatic hops, pilsner malt and is refermented in the bottle. Another one for the road…?
