This special release beer is an Americanized (i.e. hopped up) version of a traditional English bitter. Bitters are low alcohol (3 to 4.5% abv) pale ales that are often dry hopped and served on cask. Our take on the style is suitably sessionable at a modest 4% abv, but we wanted to turn it up a notch in the hop department – so instead of using the mellower English hop varieties we blasted it with a blend of Centennial and Chinook in the kettle, followed by a hefty dry hop with more Centennial. The result? A great beer to get your hop fix with and still be able to drive home!

Aged 6 months in French oak barrels previously used for white wine production. 100% Brettanomyces fermentation in barrel. Aged 8 months in same barrels and racked off into serving tanks. Complex and deep, opens and expresses itself the same as a fine wine. Can age for up to five years.

One of the coolest styles in the BJCP (Beer Judge Certification Program) as its development came out of American Homebrewing! This is where our Brown comes from as well. We keep this beer riding a line between chocolate bitterness and coffee roast and support it with American Hops as well. Brown Beer is one of our favorite styles and has a lengthy history due to the fact that most malt kilning plants in ages past were using direct heat to roast and kiln. It was a lot harder to keep malt light in color back in the day, but we've got most of it down to a science now.

Fermentation uses a blend of three of Europe’s great lager yeasts, low temperature fermentation and lagering, over a period of six weeks. Yes, that’s the UN lawnmower beer. The next step in the process is to filter so that it can be more portable, without sediment to worry about disturbing. Put it in your coolers, your picnic baskets… your saddlebags. Take it to family reunions and pie eating contests, parades, beaches, fancy mustache conventions, hot dog factory tours, monorail excursions, secret basement lairs… wherever good summer fun happens! Then fire up the grill, not just once – how about like every day! Get out the horse shoes, kick up your feet and forget that oily red jalopy out back even has a purpose.

Our Hefeweizen is an unfiltered Ale that is brewed with the American Wheat Beer yeast strain that gives the beer its unique and distinctive banana like aroma and flavor.
