Boxer

The second in our New Orthodox IPA series. This NE style IPA has a bigger malt bill than the M43. We use Equinox and Mosaic hops in the boil. Then we dry hop with Mosaic, Citra, and Amarillo. The haze comes from the interplay of lipids from the malted oats, oils, and acids that occur in the hops. We don't use any adjuncts or flour to create the haze, and we never will.

Native yeast and souring bacteria captured from the land and air at our brewery in the Texas Hill Country slowly imparted a sense of place in this dry, tart, highly attenuated ale during months of fermentation in oak barrels. Unfiltered, unpasteurized, and 100% naturally conditioned.

Boys Bitter

Toasty malt aromas meet an earthier, spicier hop aroma with a forward caramel, fruity sweetness. Flavors follow suit, intermingling spiced apples and touches of toffee, brown sugar and bread crust. Lightly acidic, earthy bitterness stays throughout but is accompanied on the tongue by a sweetness that balances until the spicy hop bite finish. Bold enough that I’d drink a few, low enough in alcohol you’d give your boy one (if that was allowed).

A bright lactic sourness melds with the delicate character of 140 lbs of real boysenberries, a deep and richly sweet berry with its own hint of tartness. The dark purple of the berries lends a deep rose hue to the liquid, accentuating the characteristic sweetness and creating a drinking experience all its own. We brew this beer for the changing of the seasons, as summer gives way to the rich hues and festivals of harvest and Autumn. Come to the Boysenberry Falls! Your ecstasy awaits.

BR-549 Pale Ale

An American Pale Ale - but brewed exclusively with British barley. It is copper in color and has a nice sweetness from the malted barley. A citrusy aroma comes from the American whole leaf hops added in bags sitting right inside the serving tank (called ‘dry hopping’). Oh, where does the name come from? It was Junior Samples’ phone number from the ol’ Hee Haw show. (Junior used to live in these parts actually.) And I really, really like Hee Haw.

Brabo's Cut

The first release in our Legendary Series, Brabo's Cut is a bold, complex Belgian-Style Dark Ale. Brewed with blessed water, it's rich with notes of brown sugar, figs, and sweet honey, compliments of the local, wildflower honey from our brewer's family hives. Inspired by how the Belgian city of Antwerp got its name, it tells the story of a Roman soldier named Silvius Brabo, the man who slayed the giant Druon Antigoon. Today we honor Brabo's heroism with these spoils of a job well done. A mighty reward that we share with you.

Brabo's Reserve

Our first Legendary Series release, Brabo's Cut, was a big, Belgian Dark Ale brewed with local wildflower honey. It was released in the spring of 2013. One lucky barrel ended up in a Lost Oak Winery Petit Verdot barrel and aged for a year. Brabo's Reserve is the fruits of that labor. Brabo collected a mighty reward for defeating the giant Antigoon. This is the little bit he reserved for special occasions such as this. To the victor go the spoils.

Bradford

William Bradford was not only the leader of the Pilgrims and the father of Thanksgiving; he was also a beer lover. So much so that it was all he and the Pilgrims drank. It is with him in mind that we crafted the Bradford Ale. Bradford Ale is not your typical autumn brew. Fermented with organic pumpkin, assorted spices and bourbon infused cinnamon sticks it is a full bodied amber-brown ale that will make you want to take a hayride and roll in the fall leaves while being engulfed in the smell of burning oak in distant fireplaces. From the first smell to the last sip, this ale should be included in you fall survival plans.

Braggot

The history of Braggot dates back centuries in northern Europe. Braggots are meads made with malted barley in addition to the honey. Our Braggot won a Bronze medal at the 2012 Great American Beer Festival. Brewed with wildflower honey and rich, dark specialty malts, the final product is akin to a Scottish Ale, with an added earthy depth and sweetness. Vinous notes combine with earthy flavors and a touch of toffee and biscuit character with just a hint of alcohol warmth. This is a complex sipper sure to warm even the coldest nights.
