A big, bad, Belgian brown aged over 12 months in a Charbay brandy barrel. Brewed with a trifecta of sugars, including a housemade candi syrup. Wild and untamed, this brew starts out sweet and finishes with notes a clove and nutmeg.

Rich toffee and candied raisins, burgundy, charred vanilla & brandied oak… suggestions of tart cherry, clove & cocoa. Aged in Yahara Bay brandy barrels, our Belgian-inspired ‘Dedication’ seems to have found the perfect medium to express itself . Rarely does a barrel-aged strong ale so elegantly transcend the sum of its parts.

Pours deep red with a thin, lacy head. Strong brandy overtones of fresh cut oak, tobacco, and red fruit greet the nose, followed by notes of toffee and marzipan. The taste echoes the aroma with intense brandy flavors of wood, vanilla, and mild black pepper, with tart cherry and toasty caramel malt in close pursuit. Medium-bodied, it finishes with lingering cherry tartness and mild alcohol warmth.

The “Old Time” series is a collaboration with The Charleston Beer Exchange. The base beer (a Belgian-style strong dark ale) for all four Old Times was originally brewed in July 2011, then aged in a variety of oak barrels, some with and some without a blend of brettanomyces, lactobacillus, and pediococcus. Brandy Old Time was aged for 18 months in three Laird’s apple brandy barrels without any wild yeast/brewing bacteria.

Inspired by the infamous orange-flavored cocktail. We've set the gold standard with a variety of floral and citrusy hops (Citra, Amarillo, Idaho 7 & 7c’s), before adding fresh orange juice, blood orange puree and bitter orange peel. The result is a classy, tasty, high-ABV (7.5%) IPA, to keep you rockin' this holiday season.

Some malt notes, with a sweet, aroma, rich brass color and brilliant sparkling clarity. Neither malt nor hops prevail in the taste. With the rich, creamy white head, medium body and crisp taste, it is a thirst quenching treat that finishes faintly sweet.

A complex and vinous medium-bodied brew that combines the tangy sweet-tart fruitiness of a fine balsamic vinegar with the brooding musty earthiness of a Bordeaux. This special brew was created by aging our 9% ABV Jackhammer Old for a year in a Gueuze-inoculated oak cask and then bottle conditioning for another year before serving. The blend of micro-organisms residing in the oak (Lactobacillus, Brettanomyces, and Pediococcus) are responsible for creating the acids and esters that give this beer its enchanting sour flavors.

Our brewery is located in the former Buckeye Iron & Brass Works Foundry. Beginning in the 1930’s the foundry produced solid brass gas pump handles. We tip our hats to all the dedicated Dayton. O workers whose sweat and hard work helped forge such a great, history-laden innovative and inventive city. Introducing BrassPunk Pils. A German style Pilsner that is straw/golden in color with aromas that are slightly floral and spicy from Noble Hallertauer German hops. The use of German hops for bittering creates an assertive clean, crisp bitterness. The German lager yeast employed at cold temperatures results in a dry, crisp, elegant pilsner flavor.

Brau Pils is a straight forward Pilsner with a light body, moderate carbonation and an assertive yet restrained hop character. Aromas of earthy, spicy noble hops are chased by a rich, cracker-like note backed up with clean, malty notes and a neutral lager yeast profile. This beer is made to help refresh on those hot summer dog days of DC.

Braugold is bright, golden yellow and gets its un-verkennbaren, tart robust flavor balanced by the hops and malt mixture. A-complicated-ended brewing process gives him the pleasant, appetizing bitter character and round, long-lasting flavor experience.
