Das Frettchen Oktoberfest

A soft malt sweetness and medium body makes this deep copper beer just right for the change of season. Just enough hops to balance the Vienna and Munich malts! This won’t last long!

Das Hoff

Our first lager brewed here at Urban Legend, this one is a traditional spring-time brew in Germany. Das Hoff is a celebration of all things spring, with a bock-level ABV a pleasant, caramel sweetness and light, crisp, clean finish. You may notice the "Deutsche Malz und Hopfen" used in their traditional manner. However it is German so, whatever you do, don't hassle Das Hoff.

Das Weiss

Das Weiss is a German style wheat beer with an emphasis on authenticity. Our proper Weissbier will greet you with enticing aromatic fruity esters as well as some spicy phenols, reminiscent of banana and clove, layered over sweet maltiness and a slight noble hop aroma. Upon first sip the sweet malty character of the pilsner and wheat malts take flight, thanks to a traditional German brewing process called Decoction, and are then gently grounded by mild German noble hop bitterness. This ode to Weissbier is a crisp and refreshing ale that is great for any occasion, but we think it is best served Now.

Dat Beer

“It’s a sessionable, French-style ale crafted with pilsner, Munich and caramel malts, Saaz hops and a very clean-tasting French yeast, Knott says. "The beer drinks with a light-to-moderate toasty character with some caramelization, with a little elegant, spicy and herbal European-hop aroma that pairs perfectly with the brats, hot dogs and local sausages at Dat Dog.”

Davey Murray's Best Scotch Ale

This Scotch Ale is sweet, but not cloying. It's strong, but not brash. It's smooth and smokey, like a good dram among friends. Cheers! "O gude ale comes and gude ale goes; Gude ale gars me sell my hose, Sell my hose, and pawn my shoon- Gude ale keeps my heart aboon!" Cheers to the great Bard of Ayrshire for this ale’s epitaph: There is a beer, whose clarity’s clear, can teach the mash paddle to steer, and fuels the brewer's mad career. This ale within is fine to brew and quick to know, and keenly felt by the friendly glow, and softer flame, of the heartful jolly soul that wears this name. Beer-lover, attend! Whether thy soul soars in fancy’s flight, or on this earthly whole in low pursuit, know water, barley, hops, and yeast are Davey Murray’s root.

Dawg Daze

Here is a nice, smooth and hoppy offering from our pilot series. It’s quite a unique I.P.A. for the style. Using a similar but much larger grist bill as our EDS (Everday Special), its light and crisp malt profile tangos wonderfully with the additions of HBC-342, Chinook, Perle and Centennial hops. Pine, grapefruit and awesomeness is the first things that comes to mind while sipping on this easy drinking I.P.A. This one is for the Dawg Daze of our beautiful Flagstaff Winter. Enjoy friends.

DAX is local nickname for the Adirondacks and also the name for our family of IPA's. This is our version of the popular style using 5 varieties of hops in the boil and 2 varieties of dry hops. We don't skimp on malt either. We have carefully selected 5 different malts to balance out the hop character.

Day Drinker

Hazy, straw-colored, and golden, this beer is as bright as the long days outdoors for which it was made. Day Drinker teems with aromas of orange zest and offers flavors of soft fruit, mild oats with notes of banana. A hint of classic Belgian sweetness surfaces with each sip of this light-bodied brew. A dry finish and a low ABV make it the perfect day drinker. "Gone to Cut The Lost 40" Translation: Skipping work to partake in extracurricular activities and a little daytime libation. During the early 1900's timber boom, this phrase was used around Calhoun County, Arkansas, home of the Lost Forty acreage, as code for playing hookie from a hard day of lumberjacking. All that playing hookie from felling trees eventually led to the preservation of our namesake forest.
