In this unique recipe, we combine several different base malts from around the globe to deliver a solid malty base, balanced perfectly by a bitter finish thanks to a generous hopping of NZ Pacific Gem.

When the going gets bad, we make great beer. It’s a shame when good barley goes bad. This spring, the combined effect of double digit sustained winds and concentrated rainfall created major stress on the normal course of our barley maturation — our crop went down for the count. Instead of crying in our beer—or lack thereof—we decided to do one better and make something new. Featuring organic malts and our estate-grown wet hops, this black IPA is the evil twin of our legendary Estate Ale. Black in color with a mild roasty flavor and moderate body, this beer has a bold citrusy and earthy hop flavor and aroma from the use of our own wet hops. We’d never let one bad harvest get in the way of a great beer, so join us in a toast to the memory of our devastating season.

With this release by David Sakolsky, our fifth brewer apprentice, we bring you an inspired ale. Complex, malty, dark, nuanced by oak, and fermented using his favorite Belgian yeast strain. This is a beer you can enjoy today as well as age for years to come.

The Devil Anse IPA is a medium bodied American style India Pale Ale. Featuring a blend of Australian and Pacific Northwest hops; lending to a balanced bitterness of citrus and tropical fruit characteristics. The complex hop flavors are balanced by a blend of malts; including American 2-Row, American Pilsner, and British floor malted barley. At 6.9% abv and 65 IBU’s, no feuding is necessary when you enjoy this refreshingly smooth IPA.

A festive name for a holiday beer, right? Based on the Irish tradition of carrying a dead wren through the streets on the day after Christmas. Will be available usually the week after Thanksgiving and will be very (very) limited release. Packaged in 1 liter flip top amber bottles & our recipe and style changes from year to year.

Devil Over A Barrel Imperial Oatmeal Coffee Porter Aged in Bourbon Barrels is part of Tyranena’s Brewer Gone Wild series. The label claims it’s 60% Porter brewed with coffee beans and aged in bourbon barrels blended with 40% Porter and brewed with coffee beans.
