The Story: Over the the hills surrounding the brewery, Golden and Bald Eagles are migrating to more favorable climes. We admire them for their unflappable poise and strength. The Golden Eagle is found across the North Hemisphere, and, in particular, the highlands of Scotland. The Golden Eagle has always been held in high regard by the Scots from before they were invaded by the English from the south. The Beer: The Double Eagle Scotch Ale celebrates the eagles and the Scots with big, bold flavors in a strong ale. Scotch Ales traditionally go through a long boil in the kettle for a caramelization of the wort. We re-created this process by reducing the first 15 gallons of the sweet wort down into a thick caramel. This produces a deep copper to brown in colored brew with ruby highlights.

Our take on the Imperial IPA style. Huge hop additions late in the boil and in the fermenter provide intense hop flavor and aroma without harsh bitterness. Watch Out, it is very easy to drink despite the alcohol content.

Double Hull, as the name suggests, is a design method where ships are constructed with a double layer of watertight hull surface. This construction helps reduce the risks of marine pollution in the event of a collision, going aground or other damage to the ship’s outer hull. Our Double Hull IPA is constructed with four varieties of West Coast hops, just the right amount of bitterness, and a tanker full of flavor! This classic double IPA is going to weather the stormiest of seas and leave you unscathed and very satisfied.

A double indemnity clause in a contract or policy affords the covered party two times the value of the stated coverage in the result of a covered claim. It’s all in the details but nobody ever reads the entire contract anyway. That’s why getting what you deserve isn’t always easy, and getting twice what you expected is almost impossible. But we gave our lawyers the day off and while nobody was looking, we took the hops intended for two different batches and slipped them all into this IPA. Then, instead of burying the fact in some obscure clause in a contract somewhere, we’re bragging about it right here on the label. We were never fans of fine print anyway. The good news is you get twice the payout.

Our Double IPA packs a strong punch and never loses the delicate characteristics of a traditional IPA. This brew pours a golden, chestnut brown and has a distinct, fruity hop aroma that compliments its lively and fresh flavor. Citrus and floral notes blend with a slight caramel maltiness. The Double IPA was created in England to withstand long travel to its colonies. Today, we’re only worried about the distance from the tap to your glass!

Here you go hopheads – we brewed this one just for you!! 55+ pounds of hops, lots of local honey and a little citrus just for some added kick. Golden in color with a nice rounded malt middle, ending with a huge punch of hop bitterness. Get it while it lasts because it won’t be around for long!

2 row malt makes this beer clean, crisp, and dry. Crystal 60 adds the color to this “pale ale.” The Apollo and Crystal hops are aggressive and dominant, resulting in a strong citrus/pine flavor. The light earthy spice comes from the Amarillo, Sterling, and Northern Brewer hops.

Propeller Double IPA is a full bodied, American style Double India Pale Ale that is brewed with premium Pacific Northwest hops and a rich blend of 2-row Pale and Crystal malts. Following fermentation it has been heavily dry hopped (a process that enhances the aroma without imparting bitterness in beer) giving this bold brew its big west coast nose. Double IPA delivers a huge amount of piney, floral, and citrusy hop aroma and flavor from start to finish that is balanced by sweet malt flavors. At 8.2% alcohol by volume and 85 IBUs, Propeller Double IPA is not for everyone… It is a TRUE hop bomb, for TRUE hopheads.
