When Corey started cidermaking in Tassie in 2008 there weren’t any traditional cider apples available for him to use. He was on the hunt for something natural & Tasmanian to add to get the bitterness, bite and astringency you’d see in these types of apples when the answer hit him: hops. We spent a bit of time thinking he’d invented a new cider, but then discovered dry hopped cider was growing in popularity in the US craft cider scene. Our dry hopped cider is made from stripped fuji apples with two varieties of Tassie hops added. If you’re in the CiderHouse and correctly guess which hops, we’ll give you a free drink, but we warn you, nobody’s worked it out yet.

Our Everyday Ale with a little extra something to it, specifically some Citra hops added after primary fermentation that give it a little extra aroma.

Dry Hopped with Centennial and Chinook hops providing a citrus and floral hop character to a traditional cider.

Oak Theory is our Belgian-style sour. Aged almost 11 months, this will remind you of a Belgian sour beer. Dry hopped version is with Colorado Cascade.

Our Section Street Wheat with some Calypso hops added after primary fermentation to give it some extra aroma.

Roasted barley and dark-roasted malt make this beer dry and bitter with an intense coffee flavor. Flaked grains are added to enhance mouthfeel without added sweetness. The use of Crystal and Saaz hops give a character that is lightly citrus and spicy.

A great sessionable stout! Pillowy, velvety with a mocha head. Roasty and chocolaty bouquet. Slender yet creamy from palate, silky, coffee and a toasty mid palate followed by a hoppy finish. Brewed with Gambrinus Pale, Simpson Chocolate & Crystal, Crisp Roasted Barley, Castle Black malt, Northern Brewer and East Kent Goldings and our proprietary English yeast strain.

An annual seasonal for us every March. The unmalted roasted barley used in our Dry Irish Stout presents a pronounced malt character while maintaining a drinkable light body and a soothing smooth and creamy texture. Rich in color, this beer pours deep dark brown to nearly black with a slight carbonation and flavor that finishes clean and dry.

This beer is brewed in the traditional sense. Jet black with strong coffee-like roasted barley flavors, flaked barley adds to the body and lends a creamy smoothness. Crisp clean finish with some dryness from the copious amounts of roasted barley. Bitterness is medium with low hop flavor and aroma, with beer has everything to do with roasted barley.

A east coast India Pale Ale bittered and flavored with Centennial and Cascade hops. Despite it’s low IBU, this IPA is packed with a strong hop aroma and flavor. A brewery favorite among IPA drinkers.

This extra special dry cider is finely crafted from select apples and pears. Strong pear nose with a crisp, clean finish for that authentic cider experience.

This medium/light-bodied, pale ale is Hop Gun-infused with Dizzy Pig Seasonings’ Dizzy Dust Dry Rub to add notes of BBQ herbs and spices to its smooth malty flavor and aroma. It’s a unique drinking experience designed to compliment any backyard BBQ.
