Dream Day

Dream Day is an ode to those perfectly productive days in the brewery when spirits are high for having accomplished so much. The shift beers we share taste best on days like this. Amarillo is a trendy hop this year and we used it in abundance. It imparts a citrusy flavor, which we boosted by adding organic sweet orange peels to the whirlpool. With the crisp fresh flavor of an IPA and the mouthfeel of a wheat beer, it’s incredibly satisfying. Enjoy it with jerk chicken, fresh crabs or steamed shrimp doused in Old Bay seasoning.

Dreamcrusher 2x Rye IPA

It's no secret, at DEBC, we're fond of hops. Citrusy, piney, floral and fruity hops are at least a third of the reason we got ourselves into this whole adventure. Hops may be the current ruler of the craft beer scene, and we, for one, welcome our resinous, spicy, bitter overlords. We've taken the IPA category to its Event Horizon, and pulled back just enough to see the edge. Get the big picture, it's hoppy!

Drei Kronen 1308

On September 10, 2003 Dragonmead Microbrewery of Warren, Michigan released the first batch of a light German lager named Drei Kronen 1308. This beer is being brewed under contract with the Drei Kronen Brauerei in Strassgeich, Germany. In the year 1308, an age when knight fought against knight in armor, when King Ludwig IV ruled Bavaria, the Drei Kronen Brauerei was founded in the small city of Strassgiech, near the famous castle “Giechburg”. Legend has it that it was in honor of this celebrated monarch, ruler of three domains, that the brewery took its name: “Drei Kronen Brauerei” (Three Crowns Brewery). For centuries this brewery has been distinguished through its appointment as “Erbschänke” (hereditary brewery) with the rare and ancient right to serve its beer in special Royal tankards - to king and countrymen alike. Brauerei Drei Kronen is one of the oldest breweries in the world. Dating back to 1308, it is even older than those in Munich, Bavaria.

Drei Von Dänen

When creative brewers meet it at times almost sparking the electrically charged ingenuity and imaginativeness draw as inspired togetherness causes. At times sparks so many that almost can occur smoke in the brewery! And in such a boiler of a smoke screen was this beer. Only when the fog lifted the brewery we discovered who it really was, we had been invited to this brew workshop: Anders Kissmeyer, mastermind behind Nørrebro Brewery and now again creator for his new project Kiss Meyerbeer and Mikkellers own Mikkel Borg Mountains, which with its bohemian charm cloth bewitch any hip ølnørd. The aim of the day was to brew one of ølverdenens most historically documented beers, robust and noble Baltic Porter. The fully succeeded, but we must admit that the creative røgtåger reached down to beer and to such an extent that it can be tasted. The smoke and the brand malts has since balanced with English liquorice, honey and muscovado sugar. We are proud to present the smoked Baltic porter Drei Von Dänen that arose in wanton and creative play a happy fall day here at the small brewery. And we hope that you dear ølven will enjoy the results of their efforts.

Drift Line

Drift Line was designed to bring an extra dimension to a standard American-style Brown Ale. Starting with a base of Vienna malt to add subtle toastiness, we add several English crystal and chocolate malts to develop some of our favorite flavors reminiscent of an oatmeal stout, but left out the roasted malts to keep it a Brown. Toasted oats add body and smoothness, while our house ale yeast ferments to a clean dry finish. We balance the complex malts with just enough hops to keep it form getting too sweet. Drift Line is perfect for when the long days of summer turn to the shorter, colder days of early Autumn here on the coast.

Driftwood

Our session IPA is truly that - a beer brewed with the express intent of enjoying several pints of Driftwood in a sitting and still feeling ready to attack a night out. We use as much late addition hops as in our normal IPA to maintain IPA levels of aroma and flavor while toning down the bitterness to allow for a balanced and drinkable beer. Hopped with Mosaic and Citra, Driftwood expresses bright notes of citrus, passion fruit, mango, and pineapple. This undoubted Wolf's Ridge employee favorite is sure to be one of yours, too.

Driftwood Bitters

Driftwood Bitters is an easy to drink ESB, reminiscent of a good pull in Britain. To start, we combine pale ale malts with a dash of chocolate and crystal malts. A great boil with a collection of American and British hops and you get an ESB with a great bittering backbone. As with all true bitters, you will have a crisp, clean finish with just a wisp of hop aromatics. If you are new to bitters, this one might pull you in!

Drink On And Prosper

Captain's Log, Stardate 68952.7: After spending four days at light speed, the brewers from Sun King arrived at the red planet, where our arrival was celebrated with a most illogical drink: brown sugar sweetness and flavors of caramelized dark fruit cloaked inside what appeared to be a blonde ale. Despite our disbelief we all agreed - when you eliminate the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth.

Drink Well Red Ale

Drink Well Red Ale is as complex as it is simple. A robust Irish style red ale with a uniquely American twist. A floral nose with a touch of citrus coming from American Willamette Hops leads into a rich, malty backbone with big caramel and toffee notes, met in the middle with a distinctly toasty, mildly chocolaty finish. “Drink’in” is very hoppy, flavorful session ale brewed with equal portions of malted barley and malted wheat, and heavily dry-hopped with citrusy, American Amarillo hops. The name and inspiration come from “Drink’in the Sun”, a beer that Mikkeller has previously brewed in Europe, using a recipe remarkably similar to one that Jester King had already used for numerous test batches, that were intended to serve as the basis for a future seasonal release.
