There’s no actual Zinfandel wine in our new, limited-edition Dry Zider, just the bright rose color, soft zinfandel aroma, and round, fruity notes on the palate that result from a few months of aging our crisp, tart cider in old Zinfandel wine barrels. Much as we’d like to say it’s pure genius, it really isn’t. Just taking our own fine handiwork and letting nature take its course. Thanks, nature.
Our Dry-Hopped Farmhouse Ale uses Lemondrop, Summer, Rakau and Bullion hops which are a mixture of US and New Zealand hops. While Lemondrop is a newer hop, Bullion is a vintage hop which was used for bittering lagers in the 1950’s. Even with this mixture of hops, the flavor is very fermentation forward which allows the fruity flavors produced by the yeast to really stand out. They range from tropical and citrus fruits to earthy, spicy cedar notes.
This Belgian farmhouse ale gets a gentle dose of Czech Saaz and US Ahtanum hops post-fermentation. The result is a crisp, dry, farmhouse ale with spicy and herbal hop aromatics.
We took our popular German Hefeweissen and dosed it with 2 oz. of Galaxy hops straight from Australia. This beefed up hop presence pushes this wheat ale into totally new hoppy territory.
A perfect summer refresher. Grapefruity, clean, and modestly hoppy, this beer is somewhere straddling the line between a pale ale and a wheat. Citra and Amarillo hops fill the nose, the "ahhhh" after a swig is involuntary.
Flavored with Fine Coffee and with faint Chocolate Malt flavors with just a moderate amount of bitterness for a tasty treat. Good with your favorite dessert or just by itself.
A true winter warmer, our Belgian Tripel features three times the malt than a standard Trappist, ”Simple” Aroma and flavor runs along complex, spicy yet fruity with a sweet finish. Sweetness comes from both the pale malts and the higher alcohol. Bitterness is up there for a beer with such light body for its strength, barely perceived amongst the even balance of malts and hops. Sip this and get it in.
Dually is the affectionate term for a double rear wheel truck. The double wheels inspired the name of this Double IPA. This is a very high gravity beer mashed at low temps to give a light refreshing mouthfeel. There are three bittering additions, two flavor hop addtions, and two aroma hop additions for this beer. We then dry hop this beer twice before sending off to the coniditioning tank. A very drinkable double IPA.
A sweet strong stout. Strong aromas of chocolate and vanilla. A thick visquous mouthfeel leads to a chocolate milk character and finishes with a light smokey/ashy character from the rum soaked wood spirals and dark malts added.
Notable Ingredients:
Grist: Pale Malt: Quality base malt Roasted Barley: Nice intense coffee flavor, with a slight acrid bite. Chocolate Malt: Gives nice flavors and aromas of coffee and chocolate
Lactose: A milk sugar used to add a nice sweet fullness to the beer.
Hops:
East Kent Goldings: A nice English hop. Smooth bitterness with a nice floral quality.
Other:
Vanilla: Vanilla beans added to increase the vanilla experience
Rum Soaked Oak Spirals: Contribute to a slight barrel character along with oak/vanilla/rum spice notes. The oak spirals where soaked in a combination of; brown sugar, blueberries, navel oranges, SK spiced rum, and a vanilla bean. The oak spirals then were carmalized over a hickory smoke.
Our Belgian Dubbel is full of dark fruit flavor and some brown sugar like sweetness balanced by a hint of alcohol warmth in the finish. It is 7.5%ABV with a warm reddish hue, a rich and satisfying Belgian style beer. Look for it on draft.
A nice, dark beer with a full malt flavor and delicious aromatic European hops. What makes this special beer, is that of the yeast Westmalle has been used; that makes the Double Emelisse very easy to drink. The Belgian candy sugar gives this double a slightly sweet taste.
Dubbel’s are rich malty beers that are traditionally brewed by Monks to provide revenue for their Monasteries. Today, these breweries are called Trappist breweries and there are only 7 in the world that are allowed to label their beer as such.
We used the beers from these Monasteries as inspiration for our Dubbel. In fact, we borrowed a yeast strain from one of them. You can expect notes of cherry, raisin, and plum (from the malted barley) and those flavors are nicely balanced by a unique spiciness from the yeast.
We like to think the Monks would be proud. Proost, Sante, Prost!
Our Belgian-style Dubbel Ale captivates with its dark brown color and dense, mousse-like head, then enraptures you with aromas of caramel malt & rich chocolate malt alongside ripe, banana-like fruity esters, and finally seizes your palate with its malt sweetness, chocolate-like flavors and a dry finish.
