Frontier is hand-crafted over 42 days combining the best of old world malts and 168 years of brewing knowledge with new world brewing techniques and hops. The blend of powerful new world hops and the distinctive Fuller’s yeast that is brewed at a higher temperature allows a deeper and more robust flavour to flood out. The brew is then carefully lagered for five weeks to fully condition the beer and give it the full and interesting flavour that differentiates it from its peers. Allowing the flavour to develop over time, Frontier is unpasteurised yet filtered to deliver the clarity our consumers have asked for. These factors combined deliver the unique taste of Frontier. The result is a memorable beer with citrus and spicy notes, a light fizzy body and a clean refreshing taste.

’Tis the season of giving - and as St Nick always delivers the goods in December, we thought it was our turn to give a little something back. For every pint we sell of this full-flavoured Christmas cracker, we’ll donate to our local church in Chiswick - the church of St Nicholas, of course… A 4.5% ABV beer that pours a deep red colour, St Nick’s delights both the eye and the palate. Crystal malts gives the beer its big malt character, while hints of dried fruit and subtle hop bitterness are present in the mix too.

This is an unapologetic, uncompromising, and balls-to-the-wall twist on the already hop forward flagship. More than just a frankenstein of beer styles, the team worked to find the perfect balance of grains, evoking a German style wheat, and rye beer all in one. The creamy body and frothy head is as thick as the fever dream most likely responsible for its invention, and the subtle spice note quality comes from the Weihenstephan yeast — a familiar strain from brewer Patrick Reisch's internship experience at Spaten in Germany.

Our brewers wanted to bring you there without leaving your bar stool with their latest F&W release, My Shout. Named for an Australian way of calling the next round of beers, My Shout brings a style to Chicago that has rarely been seen in the US. Brewed specially with an Australian sparkling ale yeast, hints of apricot and stone fruit combined with mild but spicy and citrusy hops make My Shout a refreshing way to forget about the subzero temperatures here and take a 16-ounce trip to summer down under.

You’re not you when you’re thirsty, so satisfy that craving with a fun sized treat. This Milk Stout is like having Halloween on Christmas, so don’t be ashamed to drink your dessert before dinner. Whatever your candy fancy may be, enjoy this ‘lil delight. Brewed with a hefty amount of lactose milk sugar and sticky oats, we threw in a whole bunch of peanuts, vanilla beans, cocoa nibs, and sea salt because, well, size truly does matter sometimes.

The traditional American Wheat Ale serves as a solid baseline, but we couldn’t be content until we tore the roof off this sucker! Funk, our Blueberry Citrus Wheat Ale, sets the rhythm with a soulful fusion of American wheat and hops, before unleashing a stunning encore with big notes of blueberry and Meyer lemon. It’s no jive, you’ll just dig it!

We’re excited to announce the release of Jester King Funk Metal Sour Barrel-Aged Stout. Funk Metal is an 8.2% alcohol, unfiltered, unpasteurized, naturally conditioned imperial stout fermented with farmhouse yeast, aged for months in oak barrels with wild yeast and souring bacteria, and then hand-blended with other barrel-aged beer to round out the palate. The finished beer retains aromas of chocolate and roast but takes on a distinct vinous character and sour complexity from extended aging and fermentation in oak barrels. A very small number of kegs and casks of Funk Metal have already made appearances in Texas over the last few months, as well as at the Borefts Beer Festival in The Netherlands. However, the vast majority of Funk Metal was conditioned in 750ml bottles, which will be distributed throughout Texas over the next few weeks. A very small number of cases will also be distributed in select out of state markets. Funk Metal is presently a limited release beer from Jester King with only a little over 200 cases (750ml x12) available. It takes quite a long time to make (about eight months) and also requires a lot of space for oak aging. Despite these constraints, we have already incorporated several more batches of it into our barrel program in order to make it more commonly available in the future.
