Grains Of Truth

Brewed with balance in mind, Grains of Truth reveals a smooth and creamy mouthfeel with light toastiness and gentle sweetness. A touch of spiciness is provided by the rye makes. Bright amber in color from the mixed malts, the beer is balanced with delicate hopping to counter rather than overpower the malt profle.

Grainstorm

Just when you thought it was safe to come out of the root cellar, along comes Grainstorm, a big, wet wallop to the senses. In the glass, dark and turbulent clouds gather. A high-pressure system of pungent hops collides with a stationary front of barley, wheat, and rye. The forecast: a veritable monsoon of flavor, with surges of roasty malt, microbursts of hops, and a chance of golfball-sized hail. The extended outlook calls for unseasonably pleasant enjoyment.

Gran Gås

Gran Gas is a new recipe inspired by a trip to Europe. It was there that John J. first discovered the lingonberry, a tart cousin of the cranberry that originally calls the Scandinavian region home. Inspired by this discovery, the brewers decided to pay homage to the region that brought them this berry by introducing another Scandinavian staple, the hearty spruce tree. Gran Gas, literally translated 'Spruce Goose' in Swedish, was brewed with 220 pounds of hand-picked spruce tips from Colorado, giving the beer a strong piney aroma with a hint of melon. The herbal character of the fresh spruce tips are complemented by the addition of a spicy Belgian yeast. A secondary fermentation with the lingon berries contrasts that spiciness and gives the beer its beautiful reddish-honey hue in a body that finishes tart and slightly sweet. With influences and ingredients from all over the globe, Gran Gas is truly an international drinking experience.

Gran Missionario

Gran Missionario celebrates the intersection of cultures that occurred in the missions set up all along the Pacific Coast of the Americas. Wheat and muscat wine grapes were among the plants brought over from Spain, being tasty as well as essential for church services. Flaked wheat and oats add a rich creaminess to our base beer, substantial at 6.8% alc/vol. To that we add muscat of Alexandria, an “aromatic” grape grown at the Spanish missions. They have a perfumy, spicy quality that punches through the wheat and malt flavors. In honor of the many other crops grown in Mission gardens, we’ve chosen pears for this version of Gran Missionario. The beer is creamy, off-dry and fruity in a most complex way, with aromas of flowers and spice. A new hop variety, Hallertau Blanc, adds additional fruity aroma notes, complementing our Belgian yeast strain.

Granát

Staropramen Garnet is a unique lager that fully honours the tradition of our brewery. In the brewing process, which is based on the original recipe from 1884, we mix pale and specialty malts in the so-called "sprinkling" process. This gives the lager its typical garnet colour, gently bitter taste and full-bodied hopsy aroma
