Good Time

My father and his best friend were hell-raisers as teenagers in the 50's. My Dad's friend Fred stole his father's car, evaded the police for some time on country roads, eventually irritated them to the point of drawing their gunfire, ultimately rolled the car and ended up in the hospital in a body cast. As my Dad sat and talked with him about the craziness of his actions and asked him if his tomfoolery was worth it all, Fred gave him a wry grin and said "You can't put a pricetag on a Good Time!" Good Time Wheat Ale is an American Wheat brewed with 45% wheat malt and a neutral west coast yeast. However we ferment the product at a slightly warmer temperature to bring out some of the fruity esters. This leaves a hint of the traditional hefeweizen flavors, although this beer is not a hefe, nor was it ever intended to be one. This is a much cleaner, milder drinking beer. You'll still get the great wheat backbone and finish and a hint of those esters without the heavier banana and clove flavors associated with a true hefeweizen.

Goodnight Bodacious

Goodnight Bodacious has the maltiness of a barleywine and the hoppiness of an India Pale Ale. A rich, hoppiness dominates the aroma, with earthy and loamy scents. A medium body presents big, bitter black barley and roasted coffee flavors, with subtle compliments of dark fruit and green hops. Strong alcohol flavors and pleasant warming qualities become more noticeable as the beer approaches room temperature.

Gooseberry Gose

English folklore speaks of a fairy, the Gooseberry Wife, who takes the shape of a hairy caterpillar and guards the tart fruit from the greedy hands of children. Not even a creepy caterpillar could keep us from adding this deliciously sour berry to our deliciously tart and salty gose. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't keep an eye out for her when picking up your bottle.

Goosetown

Schell’s Goosetown available from April through September! Schell’s Goosetown is named after a neighborhood located across the tracks and down by the Minnesota River in New Ulm, where mostly Catholic German-Bohemian immigrants began settling in the late 1800s. These immigrants kept and raised gaggles of geese, which wandered freely throughout the neighborhood and fed along the banks of the river. Schell's Goosetown is our interpretation of a traditional, German-style Gose. The beer pours clear, golden orange in color, with a thick white foam head. It has a bright lemon zest and coriander aroma with a slight saltiness reminiscent of a cool ocean breeze. A refreshingly light and citrusy tartness greets your palate, backed by a bready, wheat malt character and a touch of coriander spice. Lighter bodied, yet full flavored with a lively carbonation that gives the beer a crisp, dry finish. A uniquely refreshing session beer, perfectly suited for a warm summer day from the August Schell Brewing Company.

Gorillanaut Imperial IPA

The bigger, badder brother to our flagship Monkeynaut IPA, this beer definitely shoots for the moon. A supernova of citrusy hop aroma and flavor up front and a sweet malty backbone make this an aggressive yet well-balanced beer. It finishes with a smooth, lingering hop bitterness. If you’ve ever wondered what an 800-lb. gorilla in a spacesuit drinks, well, the answer is Tang, of course … but when he’s back on Earth and in the mood for a big beer, he reaches for this.
