Belgian-French farmhouse ale brewed with wheat malt; intensely dry and refreshing, fruity and spicy with tangy, earthy notes.

Grisette is a Belgian style ale which was originally brewed in the Hainaut province to be the beer of the miners in the area, just as Saison was the beer of the farmers. It was lighter than Saison and frequently contained wheat as well as barley malt (as does the Sly Fox version). The name is derived from the French word for "gray," referring to both the drab factory frocks worn by the young women (the grisettes) who doled out pints as the men exited from the mines, and also the color of the cobblestone rock being mined. A contemporary American grisette, an esoteric farmhouse ale style that was traditionally brewed in southern Belgium for thirsty coal miners. Heavily hopped with notes of citrus and fresh cut grass. Saison yeast and light malts keep this ale light and crushable.

Juicy hop flavors perfectly balanced with a rich malt backbone for a hop forward mountain mans (or lady’s) delight.

Seasonal brew with a strong hop character balanced with malt, citrus and pine. Light amber in color, this is a medium bodied ale with strong hop character. Sweet malt, citrus and pine hop flavor dominate.

Smoky sour. Brewed loosely in the East German Grodziskie style, this beer has elements of Cherry Wood smoked malt and sourness similar to a Berliner Weiss.

Grodziskie is a resurrection of the last indigenous Polish beer style to go extinct in the twentieth century. Production ceased in Poland in the 1990’s. It is brewed using only wheat malt smoked with oak, the aroma of which is both intense and distinct from the beechwood smoked malt we use in our other rauchbiers. The low gravity of this beer allows the hop bitterness to clearly shine through. The proper Polish yeast strain contributes an important quality we think of as authenticity. Sour smoked wheat ale

Inspired by 18th century sea voyages, we take this rich, dark brown ale and age it in French Oak Rum-Barrels. It’s an amazing seasonal treat as the barrels are only available for a limited time, and the beer must age for just the right amount of time to create that perfect “Oaky & Rummy” aroma and flavor. Grok IPA breezes in like a breath of fresh air, blending the bright hop character of a big IPA with the low-ABV of a more sessionable pale ale. Grolsch Krachtig Kanon is a Dutch heavy-Pilsener beer brewed by Grolsch in Enschede. It is a golden-fermented beer with an alcohol percentage of 11.6%. Grolsch Powerful Cannon was presented on Monday, March 3rd, 1997 at Het Bolwerk in Geertruidenberg as a single brew. In 1998 and in 1999 the beer was however released again because of the great success. Grolsch Krachtig Kanon was permanently included in the product range in 2000.
