Grimbergen Poire

Grinding Stone

Deep in color, flavor, and complexity, our Oatmeal Stout achieves this through the balance of 10 different malts. Generous use of oatmeal and roasted malt provide the base, while subtle use of chocolate, crystal and Belgian specialty grains add to the complexity. Traditional English hops round out the recipe to create a beer that is reminiscent of rich mocha coffee.

Gringolandia Fabulosa Porter

Gringolandia is our multi-culti home, where we live, play and brew our beers. Gringolandia brings big craft beer flavor, focused through the lens of our Latin-meets-Chicago experience. It's our tribute to the guts and glory that is American craft beer. Fabulosa Porter is an ultra-easy drinking dark beer. With malt from Patagonia for soft mocha character and wheat to creamy up the texture. It's super sessionable and dangerously delicious as well. Absolutamente fabulosa!

Grisette

THIS IS NOT A GOSE** The Grisette is an old working class Belgian Farmhouse style that is typically brewed with wheat. This take on the classic style is a very light and sessionable farmhouse ale with subtle citrus flavor. A fluffy white head crowns this straw colored brew. Aromas of tropical fruit and grass come through on the nose. The flavor profile is dominated by citrus and slight bitter hops with a dry finish. *UNFILTERED*

Grisette Summer Ale

Grisette is a Belgian style ale which was originally brewed in the Hainaut province to be the beer of the miners in the area, just as Saison was the beer of the farmers. It was lighter than Saison and frequently contained wheat as well as barley malt (as does the Sly Fox version). The name is derived from the French word for "gray," referring to both the drab factory frocks worn by the young women (the grisettes) who doled out pints as the men exited from the mines, and also the color of the cobblestone rock being mined. Grist Mill is our interpretation of a very traditional rustic saison. Brewed with a variety of grains, both malted and unmalted and then fermented with a blend of saccharomyces and brettanomyces. The result is a light, dry, slightly tart and very complex beer.

Grodziskie

Grodziskie is a resurrection of the last indigenous Polish beer style to go extinct in the twentieth century. Production ceased in Poland in the 1990’s. It is brewed using only wheat malt smoked with oak, the aroma of which is both intense and distinct from the beechwood smoked malt we use in our other rauchbiers. The low gravity of this beer allows the hop bitterness to clearly shine through. The proper Polish yeast strain contributes an important quality we think of as authenticity. Please enjoy this truly rare beer.

Grog

Inspired by 18th century sea voyages, we take this rich, dark brown ale and age it in French Oak Rum-Barrels. It’s an amazing seasonal treat as the barrels are only available for a limited time, and the beer must age for just the right amount of time to create that perfect “Oaky & Rummy” aroma and flavor. It takes a lot of effort, but we think it’s worth it. Hope you can join us. “Shiver Me Timbers.”

Grog of the Grogan

Grog of the Grogan is a collaboration with our Columbus, Ohio friends, North High Brewing. The beer is named after mythical Scottish faeries, who, while not pleasant to the eye, made farmer's tasks easier. It's also a reference to Milo-Grogan, the Columbus neighborhood that houses North High's production brewery. (It is decidedly NOT a reference to the Urban Dictionary definition of "grogan," you disgusting pervert.) Grog of the Grogan is dark and luscious, a malt-forward ale that clocks in at 10.4% ABV.

Grok IPA

Grok IPA breezes in like a breath of fresh air, blending the bright hop character of a big IPA with the low-ABV of a more sessionable pale ale. A variety of malts are merged to give complexity to this session IPA, while the intermarriage of Chinook and Citra hops contribute the essence of white grapefruit, pine needles, and herbal qualities. Prepare yourself to awaken your senses and drink understanding.

Grommet

As an untested new surfer longs to shred with the best of them, Port Brewing's Grommet IPA sets its sights on the endless wave that rides into the sunset. Our version of a session or "Functional IPA", Grommet's low ABV and high flavor lends itself the perfect companion for a day of celebrating or a refreshing pairing for an early lunch. Grommet begins with sweet floral citrus aromas with faint hints of blood orange. The taste is a satisfying spiciness from the hops with a toasted malt balance while invoking layers of freshly sliced grapefruit on the finish.
