Motor City Ghettoblaster is a classic English Style Mild Ale, tawny in color with a clean biscuit flavor. Ghettoblaster is also the “Beer You Can Hear” an on-going documentation of the Detroit music scene.

Hops added throughout the brew process and into the fermenters exemplify the APA beer style well. Poured into a glass, the hops aroma will drift into your nostrils before your lips touch the glass. The hops flavors will wake up the taste buds, but even with all the hops, there is very little lingering bitterness. This is a session beer.

Refreshing, crisp finish, totally sessionable. Everything you’d expect from a traditional Kölsch-style beer. Only thing is, we use a first-wort-hopping process, which smooth’s out the bitterness profile while amping-up the overall hop presence, leaving you with a noticeable, but not too bitter finish.

This unfiltered ale is brewed with wheat, spices, and citrus which are accentuated by the bright grapefruit flavor and aroma of Amarillo hops.

An American wheat beer. Made in homage to Gidro, the Lemur who was the sole casualty in the September Earthquake. In keeping with the style this is a hoppy wheat beer, with good citrus overtones.

Fermented with Chouffe yeast in primary fermentation. Filled with highly apparent clove aroma and flavor, followed by light caramel flavors with non-cloying candy sweetness. The use of Chouffe yeast in primary fermentation is a house first for Ommegang, in an experiment to explore different yeast strains for their flavor and aroma potentials. Since Day One, we've been abundantly forthright and fully transparent about our lust for hops. It's led us to craft many an IPA, most of them imperial—some intense for their time and all timeless in their intensity. For Stone Go To IPA, we are embracing our hop obsession in a new way, funneling an abundance of lupulin-borne bitterness into a "session" IPA delivering all the fruity, piney character of a much bigger IPA. To accomplish this, we employed "hop bursting," a new technique wherein an irrational amount of hops is added during the final phase of the brewing process to coax out extreme flavors and aromas while also imparting a burst of desirably pleasant bitterness. The result is an Alpha-acid-rich beer that fans can enjoy more of without missing out on the assertive hop character you, like us, crave.
