The best way of celebrating our anniversary was to create a new beer. After 5 years Kross 5 was born. It’s a strong ale that has the peculiarity of being the first Chilean beer matured in oak, as well as being bottled in a unique format. It’s a very versatile beer capable of accompanying different dishes.

KSA combines a thoughtful mixture of American bittering hops and traditional German malts to create a complex yet crisp take on the Kölsch style. Munich and Vienna malts construct the beer’s robust, rich grain flavor, while Saphir and Warrior hops bring balance through a clean finish. KSA’s old-school style, blended with bright, updated ingredients, makes this beer a classic on both continents.

Drink it ‘straight’ to appreciate the light tartness…Or repeat these words “Ich bin ein Berliner” and add a bit of elderflower, blackberry, or plum syrup just as they do along Kurfürstendamm.

The Wooden Legs Brewing Kühl Blonde Ale is our version of an easy-drinking summer ale. The blonde ale is much lighter in color than it’s sister the Pale Ale, but it is still brewed in a traditional process with the traditional ingredients. The Kühl Blonde is composed of British base malt with a healthy addition of American wheat. Both British and American hops are added to balance out the sweet malty flavors. Although it’s color is close to American lagers, the Kühl Blonde’s flavor is much more rich and complex than it’s distant light beer cousins. Spices added at the end of the boil contribute to depth, complexity and mystery. The Kühl Blonde is fermented on a deliberate temperature schedule and conditioned in very cold tanks to produce a brilliantly clear and approachable ale.

Please don’t ask for a lemon. We promise it’s not necessary. This extremely true version of a traditional South German wheat beer features the signature characteristics of banana and clove, both in aroma and flavor. These flavors are produced by the unique German yeast strain used as it plays off of the German wheat used in the brewing. Unfiltered and delicious.
